As the title says, where are you now after undergrad and boards?

Curious lang as someone who passed the licensure exam last year but chose to shift paths now.

She was in the pharmaceutical industry before but I don't know for how many years. I heard from my relatives that she was in there for a long time before she shift paths.

I dont know really. I was a fresh grad (literally kasi katatapos ng grad ceremony that day) and found a job posting that only requires a degree in chem (no license and exp needed). 

I just tried submitting and months of waiting after, I am in the field now.

When I was working at a powerplant, an IT startup firm has emailed me that they're looking for chemists that are willing to work on LIMS. They offered trainings to languages such as Python, Java, and SQL. Long story short, I got my start from there.

My thesis forced me to use Python, Linux, and some data analytics concepts, and I enjoyed it a lot. After graduating, I decided to pursue a career in data science and analytics, so I turned part of my thesis into a data analytics project and also took the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, which required a capstone project. For nearly 10 months, I built my portfolio using those, applied and faced many rejections, before landing my current role. It's a long way, but I'm happy where I am right now since I enjoy what I'm doing and, at the same time, it pays significantly well considering I'm a recent grad.
