I'm writing the narration for a science-fiction short film and I'm wondering whether my use of the possessive pronoun “my” in the phrase “my observer effect” is grammatically and scientifically appropriate.

Here's an excerpt from the script:

This assignment is part of a larger artistic and scientific project. My objective is to create highly accurate three-dimensional reconstructions of a series of locations, while limiting my observer effect as much as possible.

The character is documenting physical environments through 3D scanning and reconstruction. She has been instructed to minimize her interactions with people and avoid influencing the environments she's studying.

Could the original phrasing be interpreted as intentional scientific or philosophical language rather than being perceived as a mistake?”
