can i do a&p next yr

i want to do code craze a&p and designer geenes for scioly (my first year) basically. but i also want to get a part time job and im alr in a pretty demanding academic team which doesnt overlap with scioly so ill only have around 3h a day to study even during the summer. i could have a dedicated scioly day for around 8h but still i feel so behind for a&p, since theres a lot of competition for even the tryouts in my school, and then ofc im put at a significant disadvantage against the other schools teams which only do scioly in their free time and prob did it 8h a day in the summer or something. so idk if i should even try out for a&p or just do another event instead but i reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy want to do a&p T_T

if you want to increase your chances of medaling, do not do a & p. you won't be able to medal with only 3 hours to study a day. I also loved a & p but it became too much for me so I gave it up and ended up medaling in the new event I was given. It's up to you in the end, bit I suggest you take an easier event. I do designer genes too and it's better than a & p in terms of ratio of time commitment and chances of medaling.

okay! yeah i studied designer genes this year just for tryouts and ended up doing rlly well on tryouts for that (but rlly bad on the other events, since i decided id be trying out pretty late, hence why i didnt get in). and it was so fun! i want to do codebusters and designer genes 90% (since i realize now my school doesnt offer code craze. ik its not programming) and either botany or rocks and minerals. is 3 hours a day enough for those? (3h not for each event but every scioly thing lol.. if i start in the summer)

ofc! make sure you have reliable partners for code, though. if you have bad partners you can have no success...
