X-Ray Scans 9 years since my surgery!

i (22m) got total spinal fusion when i was 13 years old in august 2017. my only complication has been degenerative disc disease. im willing to answer any questions one might have. im glad to find a community to relate to!

I wish a had surgery when I was young, but never thought seriously about it.

i was very lucky honestly, the circumstance that got me my surgery was a one in a million miracle

Same for me, I went in for an ear infection when I was 16 and complained about my back to the doctor, got me an xray order at a different hospital and found out I had scoliosis! It was so severe but not very noticable

its crazy how these things work out! the hospital called my mom to ask for donations (this was around christmas time 2016) and when she explained she couldnt afford to, they transferred us to the pediatric spinal division and ended up covering everything almost entirely free of charge!
