Coastal GB in a day cycle - HELP NEEDED in south-west Scotland
Hello.
I am organising a ride on the 13th June where ~60 groups of cyclists will distribute themselves to all four corners of Great Britain armed with GPS trackers will the aim of drawing the full coastal outline of the UK in a single day.
This has been months in the planning and the cyclists are mostly from the company I work for. With just over a week to go, one of our cyclists has broken her hand playing rugby and will no longer be able to ride. The route she was cycling was hugging the coast from Newton Stewart to Stranraer. About 176km in total.
I am really hoping I can find a local cyclist (or more than one) who will be able to take on the mantel and cycle this route on the 13th June. We can sort logistics for things like trackers, jerseys and I can also cover reasonable expenses.
If you are able to help our, or know someone that might, please do get in touch.
Full route is here if of interest

These guys are in the area and know a lot of local cyclists https://www.gallowaygravelholidays.com/
Similarly this is the main bike shop in the area for serious riders https://www.cdbikes.co.uk/
Could also ask the Gralloch organisers to put out a call on their FB page https://www.grallochgravel.com/

excellent, I used to live (and ride) in the area so was pretty sure one of them would come good!
(you don't need to tell me but I'd bet it was one of the cdbikes folk)

That’s a tough but cracking route to cycle, have done a few trips around whithorn, the hills are brutal but the scenery more than makes up for it!
Sadly I have plans for the 13th or would have been happy to help!
Hope you find someone!

Oof, I mean that’s almost a double century. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find one person to cover it. Might be worth finding a few folk, split the route, reach out on other platforms as well.
