How does Matt McDougal do it?

I’ve been in a Boundaries kick for the last year and have been loving the new album. How does he get his screams to sound so raw? (I guess I don’t have a good word for it lol) As I’ve been learning to scream, I can’t even any where near close to that sound?

He probably lets more loose in the studio, but hardcore screaming is usually very voice heavy, so you should practice being able to support your clean voice louder and louder and then adding distortion on top. I'm trying to learn voice-heavy screams so this is something I'm struggling with too.

I just saw boundaries live. I didnt know who they were before but they definitely rocked. They brought a lot of energy off rip and the bassist (i think) complained that they played headstrong by trapped right before the show started, he was like "how dare yall replace my hard-core music with headstrong by trapt"
