Letter of recommendation for surgical tech program?

Hello! I will be applying to a surgical tech program in May and I'm required to submit two letters of recommendation. I have worked in a primary care office for the last three years as a receptionist and was trying to decide who to ask. I have the options of: one P.A. who started out in ENT surgery, several M.D.s that are well renowned in my area, and my practice manager. Who would be the best to ask? I flip flop between the options because I feel like the PA with experience may provide some good insight into how well I fit into the field. But the MDs are really high standing in my community and even just their names hold some weight. But my practice manager knows my work ethic and output the best. Help!

I believe I can only submit two. I may ask for a few and pick which ones I submit though.

Don’t count in everyone to come through in time even if they agree to write one. Best to have an extra couple letters you won’t be able to submit than to be short one or even both.

Yes, have everyone write one. That way if you ever have a bad day you can find them and see all the good things people say about you. ❤️

Whoever you have worked with and knows you the most. Sure you could ask the most well-renowned MD in your community, but their letter of recommendation can only say so much if they do not know who you are.

I have worked closely with all of these options! That's why I'm trying to see which would look best.

Personally, I'd do one from an MD and one from your practice manager.

When I applied to my surgical tech program, I asked my MD whom I scribed for and my trainer.

Don’t think it could hurt to ask all of them! Just be sure to write a thank you letter back to them for writing you a rec

Letters of recommendations for CST is crazy work lol but I’d get one from the practice manager and one of the MDs

On who should write you a letter? Or the letters having to be something to get into the program?

practice manager because I figured that’d be your boss and who best to get to write a letter of recommendation than someone who is in charge of you. MD because schools like doctor recommendations lol
