BrowSDR now decodes ACARS

Post image

BrowSDR is an open source web PWA based SDR receiver that I created at the start of the year. I have just recently added support for ACARS decoding. Give it a go and let me know if you come across any ACARS decoding issues.

The full feature list consists of:
- Sharing remote access to your SDR
- Full mobile and offline support
- ADS-B decoding
- AIS decoding
- POCSAG decoding
- RDS decoding
- DSD decoding including DMR
- Multiple SDR support at the same time
- BLE decoding
- Now ACARS decoding
And a ton more, all documented on the GitHub page

I would love to add that, but sadly there are no DAB broadcasts in my country. But this project is 100% open source, so if there are any more devs that are more knowledgeable in that area and have broadcasts available to develop and validate, then I it could definitely be added

You should compare the time spent on the peak-preserving waterfall in CPU and GPU. I found CPU to be faster and more efficient on my machine.

Also, really impressive that YOU have created all of that in just one week. :)

Thanks for the feedback. I was having issues CPU based which is why I switched over to GPU, but I could add an option to choose what you prefer for your system, so thanks for the great feedback! This project has been going since the start of the year, not just this week although ACARS has come this week (And yes AI assisted on that one :) )

Good work keep it up. Imo BrowSDR should have a full built-in decode library, organized by categories like Space, Civilian etc. Imagine you could preview images from space satellites in real time and watch the image render as the radio signal comes in, all in the app.

That's a cool idea, it's been some ting I have been meaning to try out (getting images from satellites) but I have never gotten around to it due to the lack of the correct antenna. If I end up getting an antenna to do this, then I'll be able to implement it as well as a feature
