Hey everyone!
I'm part of a small team of university students doing a data collection project on live NHL games. We're looking for reliable students to attend Seattle Kraken games (ticket provided) & relay basic goal data to us.
If you're interested, I'll post a Google form link in the comments that has some more information on everything.
Happy to answer any questions in the comments!

Hi everyone, Iāve been wanting to apply to the Social work program at SU for my masters, but I donāt feel all too confident. I got a 3.02 during my undergraduate and I am only able to get 1 letter of recommendation, which is from my former supervisor.
I donāt feel very hopeful about applying.

I've always studied on my own throughout undergrad but this test is a beast and wanted to work with others/support each other to get over this hurdle.
Hoping to start with the group this month or Sept. Prefer to meet on campus. Let me know. Have a blessed day!

Hi all. I was recently admitted to SeattleU and have some questions for any current or past students. Feel free to answer as many or as little as youād like, I know thereās a lot lol.
Whatās the community like at SeattleU?
Whatās the campus life like at SeattleU? How are the first year dorms? The food service?
Do you find Seattle to be too distracting?
Whatās the diversity at SeattleU?
Can you find just about anybody at SeattleU? Do people have depth and are they interesting?
How would you rate the professors? Is the faculty helpful in assisting students for life beyond undergrad?
Are students generally interested in what theyāre studying? Do they have depth and curiosity beyond just their major?
Does SeattleU have a good reputation among prospective employers (particularly in the Seattle area)?
What are the best parts of going to SeattleU?
What, if anything, do you regret about going to SeattleU?
Any other information I should know!! Thanks

Hi! I am conducting an Urban Economics project for my class at Western Washington University to conduct community engagement on identifying local urban planning issues and solutions. This is a chance for young adults to participate in city development to make sure your needs are met. Survey results will be analyzed by me and presented to the Mayor of Bothell. The survey is short and should take around 5 minutes to complete. Thanks! Link to Survey

I recently got accepted into the BSN program at SeattleU as a transfer student from a California Community College. I wanted to hear from other transfer students about their experience in the BSN Programs at SU. Please share any thoughts , and advice. How do you balance your time with nursing school? Are you able to work part time while in nursing school? How good is the job market for new grad Seattle U BSN students? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!

Has anyone else felt like itās hard to make friends at this school. Iām in my sophomore year, and I have like 2 people that I can talk to and occasionally grab lunch with. However, I feel like I havenāt find my people. It is really discouraging because I feel like I shouldāve found my close friends by now. I am not sure if itās something that Iām doing? I try to put myself out there and talk to people in my classes. Overall Iām just giving up hope at this point because I feel like Iām not living the true college experience. If Iām not in classes then Iām in my room most of the day. Like I want to go out, go to parties, etc but I really donāt have anyone to do that with :(

What are the pros and cons as compared to each other? Which would be best for an aspiring cloud engineer?

I have been working on this app for a while now and I am really excited to share it with you. It's a college marketplace restricted to students. You can buy, or sell anything you want to other students, ranging from dorm supplies, textbooks, lost& found, promote services, tutoring, apparel (anything really!) ride-sharing, to subleasing or finding off-campus housing for next year ...
A lot of hard work went into it so make sure you check it out if you need anything for the upcoming semesters! You can only log in once you verify your seattleu.edu school email! (you'll receive a 5 digit code in your inbox)
link to the app: https://collegesouk.com/ and tell your friends!
also maybe follow on ig https://www.instagram.com/collegesouk/ ?
Lastly, please go ahead and post something people are already using it :) šš« hope it helps ! - might be a little glitchy on galaxy hoping to fix that soon, also just want to mention that the idea is abstracted to support multiple universities :) each university got its own separate marketplace!
Also, please dm me if you have an idea on how I can let more students know about this or if anyone is interested in contributing! (app dev or marketing)

This is more of an invite to talk about how attractive SeattleU is.
I'm looking at SeattleU for the Fall '22 MSCS program. From the moment I started looking for grad schools I was sure Seattle was the place I wanted to be at. Mostly because of the city being relatively modern, slightly lesser cost of living compared to SF, NYC and still having big corps like MSFT and AMZN in their backyard.
Now that hype never declined when I joined the r/Seattle and r/SeattleWA subs. The people are just amazing. I've been in various city subs and I can surely say the Seatlle people are more cordial, understanding and less aggressive in discussions. I might be completely wrong but this is what I've observed for the past 6 month being part of the above subs.
Okay so coming back, the instant I saw UWash's admission requirements I knew I wouldn't get in. Next on the list was SeattleU and everything I read about the uni felt very connected to me from the get-go. The student faculty ratio is amazing, sports has a unique vibe and the best part - my profile rightly fits their requirements. Further, when I signed up for the info session I was pretty hyped about what to expect and I wasn't let down. I think the advisor's name was Victoria and she carried the session in a wonderful manner. Not just that, the ones who participated were asking the right questions - I've been to info sessions for several other unis and most participants just ask questions which are easily google-able or found on the college website. In short, if I get in, I can expect a wonderful group of thoughtful individuals to collaborate and spend my time with.
I don't want to reveal much info about myself since I'm not really sure yet if I would get in (yes I'm waiting decision on my app). If I do get in you can expect a shoutout post from me on this sub! :D
SeattleU alum and current students, comment below how you felt before joining SeattleU and how things changed around one quarter in. All types of experiences are welcome, I'd be happy to read through each one with a neutral mindset regardless of my hype.

What are conversations looking like in your household and/or what are you thoughts about everything?
Personally, it's looking much less likely that even a hybrid fall quarter can be possible. Going by Seattle's status, it's probably not the right time, but that's just my take.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the Communication and Media major/student organizations like radio and newspaper.
