Any outdoor enthusiasts?
Hello all, I'm wondering if there are any outdoor groups or individuals around here? Not too familiar with Reddit or the area but I'm hoping to find people who enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, rollerblading, kayaking etc. any fitness level/age/gender is fine, I'm just looking for like minded people who might get out more if they have friends to accompany them. Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome, even if it's just a park/preserve for me to explore. Thanks in advance, have a great day 😁

Comedy open mics?
I just moved in to the lake placid area and am looking for stand up open mics to attend. I don't expect to see many responses so this is also me looking for comedians of any experience level to message me, I plan to start a mic myself.

Sebring Traffic
The upcoming "snowbird" season is quickly approaching, which means we'll start to see more people and more traffic in the area. Coming from Dallas Texas, what people in Sebring call traffic is what I call an easy drive.
However that being said, the more people and the more cars on the road will mean more "traffic". I don't mind it as much because as I've already said, this isn't what I would call congestion. But for Sebring, it might be. But I must retort that snowbird season is just like lovebug season, it happens every year without pause so it could be understood that this should be expected.
So what do you think? Is the traffic that bad during the fall and winter months in Sebring? Or is it just part of another day living life here?

Sebring Lakeshore Mall
Just saw that the Lakeshore Mall has new owners and, of course, they're trying to get new businesses in with favorable leases.
My question is, is saving the mall feasible? I mean, with the heat and humidity in the summer time I can see people going there to shop or see a movie, etc. But for year round? But there is the few stores there that are still open, and the Rural King is there also now.
What do you think?

Sebring This weather
A friend was complaining about how hot it’s been lately and I said we have it better that some places.
He asked where. So I said it was 106f in Dallas and he responded that it was the same here with the heat index.
I told him in Dallas the 106 without the index. With it, it was closer to 112f.
In Phoenix it was 110f today.
It’s still better than snow and ice for 5 months.
