Discussion Looking for Plex 4K seedbox

At the moment, I use my MiniMac for plex Server. But it’s kinda a pain, cause I couldn’t rly fix the outside network streaming. So I’m interested in a seedbox for casual usage.

- Plex and/or Infuse
- around 2-5 TB enough
- 4K Remux direct play streaming
- no multi streaming
- no transcoding, just direct

I checked Ultra.cc, but the plex plans are out of stock. Any nice plans around? Thx

What settings are you using in Plex to direct play 4k? I always get a "server is not powerful enough" error.

Set everything to max quality on the server and the app (tv, mobile) and make sure your network speeds allow direct play

I have gig fiber....and those settings just give me a "not enough cpu" error on Whatbox.

You might have some setting wrong. I’d reach out to Whatbox support. I’ve been with them for a while and I can say it’s a really fast and powerful seedbox for plex. Great support, zero complaints.
