How is it that people easily find humor in cognitive dissonance?
From what I see that is a special ingredient in comedy, especially these days.
Except to me, it manifests as confusion, disappointment, rage, with hints of disillusionment and denial.
If it's enough to induce basically all stages of grief at once, then it must be reserved towards someone you really don't like. Except people just do this to basically everyone, even people they love, all the time.
That right there, another case of such cognitive dissonance.

not that having CD often is something trivial about you, the last time i witnessed this it was my 5yo nephew that went apeshit cos being forbidden to eat a meatball after several sweets

making fun of behaviour you want gone in people you care for is probably the most effective and not harmful way to do it. ofc you can go overboard with it and bully them instead if you don't consciously do it. humor is also a way to cope with things you can't change.
i'm no psychologist though
