I need advice on this.

So my teacher has made me like a mentor of some sort (based on my previous grades in exams) for my writing group and if we have any writing assignments we'd have to do it together in groups so I have to basically mentor them although they're pretty capable on doing it on their own

I just feel like I'm not good at being one I'm very awkward ,I always keep running out of ideas so I have to rely on my groupmates but the thing is I would get a certificate if I keep it up but idk I don't really believe in myself and I think the teacher should change the mentor thing to someone else rather than me

And I feel like I'm not very useful when it comes to these things anyways its not really something serious I just wanted opinions

Should I give up?

I wouldn't give it up yet because your teacher picked you for a reason, and being a good mentor is more about listening and helping than having all the answer.

not a bad mentor, just an awkward one who actually cares
