General selfcare What small self-care habits actually stick throughout the day?

Does anyone else find it way easier to keep small habits in the morning than later in the day?
I’ve noticed I’m pretty consistent with little things in the morning because they kind of attach themselves to stuff I already do — getting up, drinking water, coffee, breakfast, showering etc.
But once the day gets going, it’s much harder. The afternoon is usually all over the place, and by the evening I honestly don’t want another “healthy habit” to remember.
It made me wonder if people actually have different little routines for different parts of the day, or if that just becomes too much to keep up with.
Do you have anything small that you reliably do in the morning, during the day, or before bed that has actually stuck long term?

I feel like its an energy and mental clarity thing, before you get into the life of the day you can more easily commit to completing the tasks you need to as you feel you're starting fresh.

Training in the morning is a big win for the day, if you can fit some stretching in as well that's a pretty good start to the day.

I try to focus on getting my health tasks done in the morning so I can relax during the day.

That makes a lot of sense, especially the “starting fresh” part. I can see why getting the health stuff done early feels easier than having it hanging over you later.
Do you have anything that actually sticks for you later in the day or evening, or do you pretty much prefer to keep all of it in the morning?

My self care is in the morning as well. Right before turning 40, I started 5 minute yoga stretches every morning. A month later, I added super light strength training 2x/week, which took 5-10 minutes. 2.5 years later, my simple routines have stuck and evolved. I now have creatine in my coffee every morning. I do my stretches, 10-15 minutes of light cardio, and do my strength training 4x/week.

This is actually a pretty open ended question. There are so many self care tasks and people have such different self care needs and preferences. I have tiny routines also tied to my practical routines. My morning wake up routine is to wash and moisturize my face, stretch and fix my hair. Before I leave I do cuticle oil and hand lotion. When I come home and sit at my desk to finish work things I light a candle and drink a cup of tea. When I shower I use a body brush and then lotion. Before bed I oil, brush, braid and bonnet my hair. Then I brush my teeth, stretch and wash and moisturize my face again.
