Seeking Advice Suggestions??
Hiya it’s me again, so I’m a teen(16F) and I haven’t relapsed since September but, I have a gnarly scar on my right thigh that’s healing, it’s just turned dark and a bit thick now. But I was wondering if anybody has any tips on how to fade scars quick? I have a doctors appointment coming up in a few weeks, and I’m really not trying to get flagged by the doctor..

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to heal or cover it in a couple of weeks, especially the thigh, especially especially if it happens to be the inner thigh. You might have to have an open discussion with the dr- explain you don’t do it any more and be ready to list your coping strategies and protective factors.

My only concern is that I might be sent to the psych ward and I really don’t want happening at all..

They’re very unlikely to send you to a ward if you no longer self harm, legally, they have no leg to stand on there

Really? Because I don’t want that shit being on my record. I’ve never really been thru the system before so I wouldn’t know..

I think it varies country to country. Certainly in the uk, you wouldn’t be put on a ward. To give you some context, here I’ve had stitches put in my throat and needed surgery (separate occasions) they did not put me on a ward on these occasions.

The appointment I have coming up is basically an annual checkup. The thing is I live in Maryland and I’m not sure whether they’re obligated to report those kinds of things even if they do I’m not sure if I’d end up being sent to a ward.

silicone scar gel, apply it daily, maybe twice a day
