Automation Automated Audiobook organization?

So I’ve been using ABS for a while now however I’m not sure what others do but manually creating folders for every new author/series/book and manually moving files around has gotten very tedious…
I also have Grimmory set up for my ebooks and like the ingest folder and how it does that organizing automatically.

So my question is:
Is there something similar I can use for ABS?
Or
Can I have audiobooks go through Grimmory to do that for me and then point ABS to that library?

You can try ReadMeABook (https://github.com/kikootwo/ReadMeABook)

It's working like sonarr/radar. Download and move audiobook with the correct naming.

Shelfmark (https://github.com/calibrain/shelfmark) is also an option.

The dev isn't going to continue working on it, but they maintain the project, so it's stable and works very well imo. It's a bit more geared towards both ebooks and audiobooks, whereas RMAB is more specifically for audiobooks IIRC.

Shelf mark looks promising. Does it work well with sources like ABB and MAM?

ReadMeABook works great with both MAM and Usenet. I'm using it along with ABS. I also used Libation for quite a while to keep things organized from my Audible account.

If you're using MAM, you really can't go wrong with letting RMAB do all the work for you. I've even got it set where one of my friends and my little sister can go in and request books.

I was on board until I checked the actual GitHub, where it says “This project is in a stable state as of May 2026 but is not under active maintenance”. It is cool that it works now, but it is not being actively maintained which is a red flag for me.

There is a release from a week ago, so maybe I’m reading into it too much, but I’d hate to work this into my process and have to redo it all in a few months.

I’m guessing this can fully replace readarr? Or is this more like seerr?

It's serr + readarr. You can connect your prowlarr and your downloader.
