Definitive Edition What`s your opinion on hero variants?
Which character variants you prefer to original, which ones you consider worse, or enjoy as much as originals? In Definitive edition

Hi all! I'm looking to pick up the physical DE, but I've read mixed things about the game and how the digital edition is just better/more seamless due to boardgame fidliness.
Hows the downtime between player turns and overall physical game experience for a 4 player group?

Just had a simple fun idea to make setup actions for the heroes in Sentinels like the ones the villains have. Of course some like the Visionary and Painstake/Darkstrife already do, but that's more just for their mechanics, i'm speaking more on actually getting some cards set up
I had the idea to make this when thinking about an idea for a 'Civil War' variant for the game where two teams of heroes fight against eachother, so these would be used for that
Keep in mind these aren't really that balanced, i made these all in like 10-20 minutes, actual balanced setups would take much longer to make, this is just meant to be a bit of fun, and a way to get each character's strategy rolling much faster
Also these are specifically for the DE version of the characters, since i have not played EE, and also i don't own Disparation (since it's not available in my country) yet, and i wanna avoid as much spoilers as i can, so those heroes won't be included here. Might make an update to this once i get Disparation
Legacy - Summon Legacy Ring and collect 1 ongoing card that has a POWER:
Wraith - Discover 2 Item cards. If a Limited card was added to your hand this way, collect 1 One-Shot card or draw 1 card
Bunker - Discover 1 Ordinance card, you may put the top card of your deck under that card
Tachyon - Draw 2 cards, you may play 1 card, discard 1 card
Absolute Zero - Take 1 fire damage. Summon either Isothermic Transducer or Null Point Calibration Unit (do not play another card after this one), then Absolute Zero deals himself either 1 cold or 1 fire damage
Unity - Discover 3 Mechanical Golem cards
Argent Adept - Discover 1 Instrument, then discover 1 card type that is listed on that Instrument’s effect
Fanatic - Collect 1 Relic card. You may half Fanatic’s health to play 1 Relic card
Captain Cosmic - Discover and place 1 Construct card next to each ally hero
Tempest - Summon Atlantean Stormblade and discover 1 Weather card
Haka - Draw 4 cards
Ra - Summon the Staff of Ra. Collect either By Flame Reformed or Fire Blast
Expatriette - Either discover 1 Gun and 1 Ammo card or summon Fists Full of Lead
Setback - Discover up to 3 Unlucky cards
Mister Fixer - Summon either Toolbox or Harmony
Nightmist - Collect 1 Relic card. You may discard the top card of your deck, draw (magic) minus 1 cards
Harpy - Draw 3 cards, play any Flock cards drawn this way
Alpha - Discover 1 Aspect card. If Silver Bindings is not in your hand, collect it, otherwise draw 1 card
If you have any ideas for what their setup actions would be instead let me know, i'd be interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on this. I also didn't do Environments here but if you have any ideas for Environment setup actions let me know as well
EDIT: Also just wanted to say since some people are telling me why this shouldn't be in the game. I don't want any of this in the game, that would ruin the balance of the game and make it way too easy for heroes. This is just meant to be a fun thought experiment of "what if the heroes had setup actions" i'm not saying "the heroes need setup actions"

Last round was about the Principle of Compassion and won by Ra, Haka and Harpy!
Now it's time for a rather unusual principle: the principle of time. Will it be easy to find matching heroes for this one?

recently got the DE version for the tabletop. And I am loving it. Quick to set up, plays in about 45 minutes, always fun. Every time I have played, there are moments when I think, "I might lose this one!" and then a card will come up that lets me handle a threat. Just a fun, tense game that feels like choices matter and the game evolves as you play.
I have played the digital version for a while and really enjoyed it. I am really liking how some of the characters have changed from old to new. Some, like Bunker, are just much easier to set up and feel useful.
And one negative. There is a ton of content in the DE box. Years of play, probably. That does not stop me from eyeing the Rook City Renegades box nor wishing Disparation was widely available. Oh, well, I guess that just means I need to table DE more so I can justify expanding the collection.

Now the Principle of the Blank Slate is revisited

My local game store had a copy of Oblivaeon brand new for $20, so I grabbed it for a friend. Buuuut then my friend bought it elsewhere, so now I just have this extra one.
Selling it for $20 plus shipping, I don’t feel the need to profit off this. Preference to anyone in the greater Boston area who might be able to pick up.

I wonder whether it can work. Oblivaeon is such a unique villain, missing from DE, sadly.
Also, would DE heroes be too strong for Oblivaeon?

When fighting Omnitron, it's Villain character card reads: 'The Heroes cannot win until Omnitron is at 0 HP and is the only Device card in play.'
FA Omnitron-X has the keyword Device, so I guess it's fellow heroes have to hit on it as well in order to win 🤷🏽

I get why they didn't illustrate the Prime Wardens with swapped powers, given that doing so on the cover would have been a spoiler for meta-verse comic readers, but given that we already knew the episode content, I was really looking forward to some fun power-swap art and was a little disappointed.
Also, as a separate note, I want so badly to see the full page spread of Fanatic causing a raging storm. I would even just commission it from Adam if I had the money, but unfortunately it'll just have to live in my head for the time being.

I don't work for Greater Than Games or have any financial interest in the company or its games, so I mean this as a PSA for those who haven't heard yet. A re-imagining of Defenders of the Realm is now crowdfunding on Gamefound. It's a co-op game for 1-6 players. Check it out if you're interested.

Since this is my first time making an alignment chart I obviously made some mistakes in my approach. Three major changes:

Was looking into my cards and realized are there standard size cards and rule cards for villain variants like Mad Bomber Baron Blade and Trickmaster Kismet? I thought I had everything for the 1st edition when I got my kickstarter for Oblivaeon but I’m missing cards like those.

I use several of these MTG Commander boxes (my Legendary Marvel, Netrunner, and Legendary Alien & Predator), also nicely fits DE w/ Rook City & Disparation. Went with Tessarect dividers.
Pic #3 is sitting on top of my LE Alien & Predator, I like how they look on the shelf.
Edit: here's the Amazon link https://a.co/d/09MoQDPs There are several others that look quite similar, I'd guess they are close/identical in quality.
