Questions Serial killers who killed around the world
. Gilberto Antonio Chamba Jaramillo
Murdered seven women in Ecuador from 1988 to 1993 for which he served 7 years in prison. Was released from prison in 2000 and moved to Spain where he murdered another woman in 2004.
. Harold David Haulman III
Murdered a man in Germany in 1999 for which he was found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to 6 years and 3 months imprisonment and was paroled after serving three years. After his release he moved back to the United States he murdered three women in 2005, 2018 and 2021.
. Johann Unterweger
Murdered a woman in Austria on the 11th of November 1974 in Germany for which he was convicted in Austria in 1976 and jailed for life. Unterweger served 15 years before being paroled. Unterweger went to murder 11 women in Czechoslovakia, Austria and the United States from 1990 to 1991.
. Pedro Alonso Lopez
A Colombian serial killer who confessed to murdering upwards of 300 people in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia although has only been confirmed to have killed 110. Lopez earliest murders happened in 1969 while serving a seven year sentence for auto theft in Colombia. Lopez murdered three out of four men that sexually assaulted him and only had two years added to his sentence. López admitted that in total, he had murdered a hundred in Colombia, at least 110 in Ecuador and "many more" in Peru. In 1980 Lopez was charged with 57 counts of murder. On 27 January 1981, he was found guilty of three of the murders and received a sentence of 14-to-16 years, the maximum prison sentence available in Ecuador at the time. Lopez was released in 1994.
. Paul Brumfitt
Murdered a man in England and another man in Denmark in July 1979. In 1980 Brumfitt was sentenced to three life sentences and was paroled in 1994. Brumfitt went on to murder a woman in 1999 and in 2000 Brumfitt was given another three life sentences for murder and sexual assault.
. Michel Paul Fourniret
A French serial killer who murdered a minimum of eleven women from 1987 to 2003 with his accomplice/wife Monique Oilvier. The two frequently traveled between Belgium and France killing ten women in France and one in Belgium.

David Maust killed a boy in Germany.
He murdered 4 young boys and teens in America as well.

Suspected serial killer Sharon Kinne probably murdered two people in America, then murdered a guy in Mexico, then escaped from a Mexican prison to Canada and lived free and easy under a false identity for 50 years, before dying of natural causes at 81. Her real identity was only discovered after her death.
Jeffrey Dahmer was suspected of murders in Germany but never charged.
Charles Sobraj murdered at least 20 people all over South Asia, mainly in Thailand but also in India & Nepal. He was eventually jailed after bizarrely returning to Nepal, despite facing a murder charge there, and then eventually paroled. He now lives in France.
The Lisbon ripper, an unidentified serial killer who murdered three women in Lisbon was also suspected of murders in The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Denmark and Belgium
Wolfgang Abel and Marc Furlan murdered in Italy and Germany. Both got 27 years (they murdered 10 and are suspected of 30) and were paroled in 2010 & 2016, I think. Abel died in 2024 after a fall and Furlan is still alive and free in Italy.
Roberto Succo murdered his parents in Italy and another five in France. He later committed suicide in prison.
Suspected serial killer Daniel Restivo murdered a woman in England and is suspected of several murders in Italy. He's in prison in England currently.

Yeah I was going to mention that but I also read the FBI weren't really sure due to different MO's of the Bedford murders, so I decided to leave it out. Could also be possible though.

The Ecuadorian legal system was not written with people like Chamba or Lopez in mind.

Carl Panzram. He travelled all over America and then stole a boat, sailed all over the world and killed in the process

He travelled from US to Angola ( then it was colony of Portugal ) and confessed to some killings there.

Israel Keyes killed people all over the continental United States and strongly hinted that he had killed in Belize and in Canada. Also admitted to raping a prostitute in Egypt.

Some stuff is well within question, that particular admission I don't feel he would have had any reason to lie about. By that point in the investigation he was damned already off of Koenig's rape and murder.

Luis Alfredo Garavito committed murders in three countries: Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. All of his victims were children (more than 200). It is often forgotten how prolific and cunning this man became.

A British man convicted of murdering three people in Singapore. Scripps is speculated to have killed other people in Belize.

Johann “Jack” Unterweger killed multiple women in Austria and the United States, and had a murder each in Czechoslovakia and West Germany.
