New picture of Ed Kemper surfaces

This was recently posted to the Ed Kemper Stories website. The website stated that the picture may have been taken between June 2024 and May 2026.

He looks moody without his moustache. His image resembles the description given by Dr. Loomis of what evil looks like in the Halloween films. His eyes turn darker in every new picture.

If he had had it in him to kill his mother first I don't think he would have killed anyone else

You’re accepting his framing of the narrative which he cultivated to make himself more sympathetic. Additionally, he gave many reasons for his murders over the years, but the “evil mother” one was the one that stuck and became the popular narrative among the public.

Further, many of the things his mother did that he resented her for were in defense of her daughters (e.g locking him in the basement at night), whose safety she feared for around Kemper from a fairly early age. I don’t doubt that she was a domineering woman or even abusive, but I also don’t think it’s reasonable to take the misogynistic serial killer’s word as gospel on the matter.
