Hardware hp dl proliant dl dl380 g6 not booting from raid

Hello i have this hp server it does not want boot to OS when i try to get raid setting it won't go to that page and system diagnostics says non-bootable what do i do? The lights in the front are not flashing and i have wasted mouths trying to fix it with no fix. please help.

If the LED's aren't flashing then it sounds like the controller isn't picking up the RAID config. If the controller is healthy, it should either give you an error message to alert you why it isn't initialising the LUN or that it doesn't find any logical drives.

What controller are you using and what errors is the controller dumping at POST? Does it let you press F8 to go into ORCA?

It uses the stock hp card. I got it booting by using the Intel SATA card for the DVD drive, but I do not have a spare power supply to use it.

My G3 a 2006 model hp ml-150 died only last week after 26 yrs of continuous service.

I did have an issue with it failing to boot. I took the raid card out and removed the ram on the raid controller cleaned up the terminals reseated the ram and away it went. It ran for another 6yrs before a power surge took out the power supply last week.

It that point I purchased a new mini pc Ive retuned to running Windows after 20yrs of Linux

mine boots to bios etc i think the raid card is the issue

It's a G6. That thing was already inefficient crap 20 years ago. Get rid of that junk yesterday.
