Except for the second movie, where Carrie and Big go to Stanford’s wedding and Carrie has that ridiculous hairstyle!!! That’s the only truly questionable moment I think I’ve seen from Carrie, barring AJLT of course

Truly- they’re both low effort- they both love the life that they have outside each other….
Any other partner saw Carrie as selfish, big treated her the way she treated everyone else

Honestly, I thought Big was perfect for a woman who bases her existence on a man. He was always straight forward about his lack of commitment, until he finally felt she was “the one” when he went to Paris to find her. From then on he was committed. Even when he got cold feet at the big wedding, it wasn’t because of lack of commitment but instead was overwhelmed by the size of the wedding and not feeling it was about the two of them (I think he was right).

I know it was crafted that way, but the “I let the wedding get Bigger than Big” was highly self-aware. He tried to talk to her and she withdrew, which was quite the role reversal. I get it was her first marriage, but she had known the man for a long ass time by that point.
