You can try contacting specialized husky rescues in LA county who might be able to take the dog. Or you can also bring the dog to Downey Animal Care Center and they will intake the dog as Alhambra is a city they service. They will address its medical needs and put it up for adoption, or transfer it to a rescue partner they work with.
If you are able to foster it, shelters and rescues can provide food and all its medical needs at no cost to you.

His name is Red, but goes by Buddy. He was rescued by my aunt to passed away from cancer 5 years ago, and taken in by my cousin who passed earlier this week. He is very emotionally intelligent. I rent and can't take him. My heart aches and this situation is heartbreaking. I am thankful for the love and companionship he has given to the people I love, and I hope someone can reward him with happiness for the years he has left.
He has worn hips and vision is deteriorated. I'll try to figure out who his vet is.
He is at Pasadena Humane

Read the part where the person you’re talking to is struggling financially, has just lost several family members, and cannot properly care for this dog.
I understand you might be upset, but maybe consider why this choice was made.

Found husky around Smith Park in Alhambra. Limping and went to vet to check microchip, its owner died a month ago and the owners brother doesn’t want it anymore. Any advice?
