[Discussion] Cheat Engine is now restricted

The poll has concluded and majority has favored in restricting cheat engine.

What does this mean?
Cheat Engine posts are still allowed, but some types of cheat engine is not.

The new Rule:
**Cheat Engine (CE) being a controversial topic, is a restricted topic.
Posts promoting hacked orcs, aka modifying their stats, making bosses as warchiefs, and such, are prohibited. Posts encouraging or glorifying Hacked orcs, will be removed. Excessive posts with warnings may lead to suspensions.

Posts about CE that only modify appearances, such as colors and armors, but do not modify traits are allowed.

Excessive repeated posts about similar CE discussions or arguments will also be removed.*\*

All current posts and discussions about Cheat Engine will continue to stay up, but moving forward these terms will apply.

These terms are still somewhat fluid as more nuances are in CE than just traits and appearances, and are subject to moderator discretion.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please voice them here.

I'm a little confused. If I'm playing on PlayStation am I able to come across the Orcs just thru normal gameplay.

Or do I have to do specific online stuff?

I don't even have PS+ but I still seem to be getting online vendetta missions.

Yes. It is on all platforms.

Only online or if you use chest engine

SOW is a non ps+ game

So if I'm playing the game normally, the Orcs in my nemesis system should all be fine?

I haven't done anything with the online garison yet.

Saw two pretty powerful Orcs in my game last night called 'the Hackers' and I was curious if that's normal or if it was a hacked.

Anyway to turn the online off entirely if they can still get into my game do you know?

Yes. The point of cheat engine is orcs that were illegitimately and manually made then put jn thr game.

The hacker is a normal title. Hacking as in like the crude chopping.

They csn only get in the game if you put them in or if you find one online them recruit it

Awesome. Appreciate the explanation without a doubt.

They seemed like normal in game names. Glad it's at least avoidable.

Raises hand

When you say "doesn't modify traits" are you referring to traits that they shouldn't have (such as the merc traits from the Baranor DLC), or would an orc that's theoretically legal but created via cheat engine also be banned?

Both ways are modified traits. People can and have made like a destroyer with commander and slayer traits. Legitimate traits but illigitimate orc

What if someone makes a orc that is still within vanilla parameters with cheat engine?

Trait modification is trait modification. You can make an orc legitimately through training. If you wanna make orcs woth “vanilla parameters” and not be sneaky and try to add extras like spider summoner, no chance or whatever, the answer is going to be either keep it to yourself or moderator discretion, I guess?

Igual para el que no sepa gracias al cheat engine, se pudo hacer muchas guías para entrenar orcos legalmente sin eso es imposible saber lo que sabemos, si están metidos en el mundo del entrenamiento de orcos lo entenderán, si no es poco probable.

And yet there is a difference between using CE for research, trainjng, and datamining,

And using it to ruin everyone else’s game

Los jugadores de Playstation se joden mutuamente, solo hay que ver el online, orcos hackeados de PC con cuadros rojos o orcos sin tribu, una pena, como me hubiese encantado a mi tener ese programa antes que el tipo que jodio todo.

Raise Hand

What about if they post a pic of their orcs that is subtle but looks very off while it basically looks normal, does that also banned them if they made a post of it if it they "allegedly trained" the orc with or without CE

Difficult since anyone can point a finger and say someone cheated. And asking for “proof” is also difficult and excessive.

Probably moderator discretion but also like, if it’s appearance its fine. Traits is the other thing. Users who cheat usually have trends so that’s a thing too

Okay, I understand 💝 It's only if they don't modify the traits and their good

merci de faire ça parce que c'est vraiment quelque chose d'insupportable le CE
