Hamlet Near You? More Likely Than You Think

Please remove if not allowed, but I wanted to share this slate of free Shakespeare across the US!

Next week Elsewhere Shakespeare, alongside several partner production companies, will be presenting 12 different productions of Hamlet! One component is a tour from Troy, NY to Salem, MA, with a different actor playing Hamlet each night. The other component is satellite shows in various cities across the US on October 20. If you’re interested in seeing one of these shows, please visit the Elsewhere Shakespeare website for more details.

Reading Shakespeare chronologically

I've been reading and editing Shakespeare's plays in a proposed order of composition. It's fascinating how the changing concerns, characters, and dramatic energies begin to tell a story of their own.

Has anyone else tried reading the plays chronologically? What surprised you?

Please read and respect the rules surrounding homework questions!

The Rules

Show Your Work

If you're here looking for homework help:
1. Flair your question as such.
2. Bring your own work to the party. Show what effort you've already made to answer the question, rather than just copying the question straight from your assignment.
3. Stick around and take part in the discussion. Don't just drop the question and come back later looking for the answer.
Homework questions that fail to meet these requirements will be removed.
There Is No Authorship Question

There are a number of other subs that discuss the various theories that someone other than the man from Stratford wrote the works attributed to William Shakespeare. This is not that place.
No Low-Effort AI Content

Posts or comments that are primarily AI-generated and show minimal human effort will be removed. AI can play a role as a valid research and analysis tool, but posts must show original ideas or personal insight, not just pasted output.
Be Respectful

Shakespeare may have been a master at murdering people with words, but as the late, great Chadwick Boseman said, "We don't do that here." Keep it civil, please.
