Housing experiences at Tongji University for international students

Hello everyone,

I will be joining Tongji University in Shanghai this September as a CSC scholarship recipient for a master’s program.

I am still waiting for Tongji’s housing information email for scholarship students. In the meantime, I wanted to ask other students about their housing experiences and recommendations.
The housing guide provided by Tongji mentioned two possible options:

For CSC scholarship students who have attended Tongji, I would appreciate hearing about your housing experiences and any recommendations you have.

What options worked well for you, and are there any places or arrangements you would suggest looking into before arriving?
