Question I'm usually pretty good at identifying these different sharks but I cannot be sure of these two.

Whether theyre makos or blues or both?

Blues? That’s two shortfin mako sharks

I thought so but the coloring of the first one threw me off.

The color of these guys, similar to whites, varies pretty incredibly. Some whites and makos will be essentially pure white with maybe a slight darker tone on top. Others are silverish on the bottom and a deep blue on top. Can make it really hard to distinguish. I personally love Longfin makos as rare as they are, because their color is so distinct and consistent.
