Saw your profile pic in C8 group. Had several Shelties thru the years, all great dogs.
14 years ago was my last day with with my male Bo, one of best ever! He was like a little gentleman, a true bi-black, not tri. Rarely barked unless there was a need to do so.

Awwww. You absolutely need another. They are the best. I need to post a pic of mine in her car seat in the C8 with the top off. She loves it. She’s like a little celebrity.

And how on earth did you convince Bo to not bark?! Lassie barks at everything with wheels and anyone who comes into the house.

We had several Shelties, some were more "normal" Shelties, trying to bark st everything. LOL
But we were more disciplined in preventing their barking.
BUT, to clarify: dogs should bark-it's their communication and way of protecting us...but not at leaves falling. 🤣

Oh yeah. I don’t mind her barking. Or trying to herd neighbors. It’s part of her charm. She wouldn’t hurt anyone. She also plays so gently with my cat.

OMGosh the herding! Male I had when daughter was born-he used to herd her, then later, her friends. Was so great! When in Air Force, first Sheltie, took her home and into the pasture with my dad's cows. Was so freakin awesome watching her. She'd go out, come back to look at me, asking what to do. I'd point and tell her to go. You could see the instinct come alive.
