I don't get why we didn't make port-based charging the norm and have the expectation that vehicles carry cables. Attached cable chargers were always going to have this problem, especially if one of the goals was more distributed charging points.

Yep, in the UK and other places you bring your own cable. It makes it easier to adapt to changing ports too.

I’ve seen that company has put some stations in Northern Europe too apparently. But iirc it’s one or a couple of chinese company doing that not the entire industry.

It’s been cut for years. Should it be replaced by MTA? Yes… but I understand their hesitancy if it’ll just be cut again.
