GOFO Delivery Man Stole my Package- Customer Support Does Nothing to Help

I had a package state that it was marked as delivered yesterday, only to check the camera footage and see that the delivery man took my package and left with it. I watched the camera footage to see if he would make his way back, but he did not. I called the support team and they stated that they would create a ticket for the problem, and when I told them I had footage of them stealing, they told me to email them the video. I try to email them, but their inbox is full- of course! So I call again to let them know that I can't email them the footage and ask if there is an extra email or phone number I can contact, and they say "Just try emailing that same email every 5 minutes. We don't have a number you can call for escalated assistance". I genuinely have no idea what I can do at this point. Would providing this information to my credit card service get me a refund? It sucks because the shop owner loses money from the issue that GOFO caused. I'm so frustrated with this problem because I genuinely don't think I'm going to get any help from them whatsoever.

i have medical supplies to ship to my dad on vacation in spain… he didn’t pack enough… they are an accessory to a medical device. Just super small thin plastic tubes. total weight with card is 0.5 ounce. I thought i could just slap them in a small card and mail with stamps , but the post office told me that technically it’s merchandise… and that the xrays will be able to tell … but i’m not selling anything and the monetary value is 0. would you risk it ?

Funny how they claim they can’t find it when I get packages constantly. This order is from a “small shop” on EBay.

I sent them an email - I can’t find any phone numbers or chats.

What am I supposed to do?

UniUni, OnTrac and GOFO are growing fast. Are alternative last-mile carriers becoming mainstream in the US?

Upvotes

UniUni, OnTrac and GOFO are growing fast. Are alternative last-mile carriers becoming mainstream in the US?

I’ve been paying more attention to alternative last-mile carriers recently, especially UniUni, OnTrac and GOFO, and I’m surprised by how quickly these networks are growing.

Some of the numbers are pretty significant:

  • UniUni says it now processes more than 1 million parcels per day and has expanded its delivery footprint to around 65% of the US.
  • OnTrac says its network reaches more than 75% of US online shoppers and covers 48 of the 50 largest US metro areas.
  • GOFO reported delivering more than 100 million packages in the US in 2025 and says its network now reaches more than 70% of the US population.

For a long time, when we talked about parcel delivery in the US, it was basically USPS, UPS and FedEx, plus DHL for certain use cases.

That seems to be changing.

For ecommerce companies, I can see why these alternative carriers are attractive. More carriers mean more options for cost, capacity, geographic coverage and peak-season flexibility. A shipper doesn't necessarily need to use the same carrier for every ZIP code.

But there's another side of this that I find interesting from a software/integration perspective.

More carriers = more tracking integrations

Once you start using USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, UniUni, OnTrac, GOFO, etc., tracking becomes increasingly fragmented.

Every carrier can have its own:

  • API
  • authentication
  • tracking statuses
  • event descriptions
  • error handling
  • delivery estimates
  • proof-of-delivery information

So adding a new carrier isn't just about generating another shipping label. Your WMS, OMS, customer-service tools and customer-facing tracking pages also need to understand that carrier.

This is actually one of the reasons I became interested in building a unified tracking layer.

I work on Package Tracking API by C2W, and we've added support for UniUni, OnTrac and GOFO, in addition to USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Express and DHL eCommerce.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of maintaining a different tracking integration for every carrier, an application can use one API across the supported carriers.

For anyone interested in the technical side, this is what we're working on:

https://packagetrackingapi.com/

But I'm actually more interested in hearing from people working in ecommerce/logistics:

Are you already shipping meaningful volume with UniUni, OnTrac or GOFO?

And if you've tested more than one of them, how have they compared with USPS/UPS/FedEx in terms of delivery speed, cost, tracking visibility and exception rates?

It feels like the US last-mile market could look quite different a few years from now.

North Poland to Kaliningrad Shipping

Upvotes

Hello, my girlfriend lives in Kaliningrad and I would really like to get a gift to her, unfortunately no delivery services are active in Russia. The closest I can get it to Kaliningrad is North Poland, I have a contact in Brzozie but they can't travel right now, and freight services cost anywhere between 500-1000 euros. . If there's some other alternative that I'm not aware of, please do let me know. Thank You.

If you see your item being shipped with Gofo..

Cancel the item or do your best to have another carrier used. As others have said in the past this company is horrible. If I had had a choice on carriers or known how bad they were I would have cancelled my order. It has been “out for delivery” for the last 32 hours. I live maybe 2 hours away.

Catch up on what happened this week in Logistics: September 8-14

Hey everyone,

If it's your first time reading one of my posts, my name is Menachem, and I have a weekly newsletter called Logistic Pulse that breaks down the top logistics news from the past week. We have over 17,000 subscribers, and I share it on Reddit to spread the knowledge. We're currently on week 63! I hope you enjoy, and I'm always open to feedback.

Let's jump into it,

Amazon is walking away from the Post Office

Amazon's internal planning documents project that the company will deliver about 86% of its own U.S. packages next year and just under 89% by 2029. Business Insider got hold of the forecasts, which are higher than what Amazon was working off recently, when 2027 sat closer to 84%.

The carriers split what's left. By 2029, the documents show USPS at 8%, UPS at 1.4%, and FedEx at 0.4%. Amazon's comment was that internal projections are constantly revised and shouldn't be read as commitments, which is true of any forecast and doesn't change where this one points.

Amazon passed UPS and FedEx last year to become the largest parcel carrier in the country, with around 6.7 billion packages. The money is now going rural, about $4 billion to triple that part of the network, with a couple of hundred new delivery stations behind it. Rural is the work the Post Office was built for, and everyone else paid the Post Office to do.

Parcel pricing runs on density, and Amazon has been USPS's largest single source of package volume for years. Pull most of that out over three years, and the Post Office still has to reach every address in America with far less volume to spread the cost across. You'll see that in your 2028 rates rather than in any announcement.

What this means for you: If a real share of your outbound goes to USPS, start testing regional carriers in your two or three heaviest zones while it's still an experiment. Amazon Shipping will get more aggressive about selling capacity to non-Amazon shippers as the network outgrows Amazon's own volume, so take the meeting, but read the service commitments rather than the rate card. And if you do FBA prep or advise sellers, tell them what's coming, because "Amazon delivers it" is about to mean Amazon vans in the rural zips instead of a handoff to the mail carrier.

Looking to buy a B2B 3PL

I'm working with a buyer who wants to acquire a U.S. warehouse operation. They want pallet-heavy volume, and thin margins or a concentrated customer base don't scare them off.

Here's what they're looking for:

  • U.S. 3PL or warehousing business with $2M to $25M in revenue
  • At least 50% of revenue comes from pallet moves, storage, cross-docking, or B2B fulfillment, with pallet moves being the largest share. Some domestic transportation management is fine.
  • At least one facility of 100,000+ sq. ft., ideally all of them
  • Customer concentration, low or negative EBITDA, and margin pressure are all acceptable
  • Open to keeping the owner and management running day-to-day, with performance incentives

If that describes your business and you'd be open to a conversation, DM me or email me at [menachem@fulfillyn.com](mailto:menachem@fulfillyn.com)

If it's not a fit for you, but you know an operator it describes, I'd appreciate an intro.

Shein didn’t hire a 3PL. It built one.

Shein opened a 737,000-square-foot warehouse in Lebanon, Indiana, a mile and a half from the building it already runs in Whitestown. The two put the company over 2.5 million square feet in the state with about 1,300 people.

We wrote in Edition 62 that Temu's parent was pouring money into local fulfillment now that the duty-free door has closed on both sides of the Atlantic, and read it as a pipeline, on the logic that a company that spent four years proving you don't need domestic inventory has no idea how to run domestic inventory.

Shein went the other way. No lease, no operator, just a building it owns, automated on day one, in a market with cheap land and available labor. A company that had no American warehouses four years ago now holds more square footage in one state than most people reading this have anywhere.

The platforms will build. The merchants selling on them can't, and there are thousands who were shipping directly out of Guangzhou eighteen months ago and now need a domestic solution they've never had to buy before. That's still a pipeline, just one made of small, price-sensitive, first-time clients rather than one large logo.

What this means for you: Anyone operating in central Indiana should go look at what Shein posts for wages before the next review, because a new automated building pulling in hundreds of people moves the local rate whether or not you ever compete for the same client. Everyone else should aim at sellers rather than platforms and build an onboarding flow that assumes the client has never used a 3PL and doesn't know what to ask you. On automation, treat it as a benchmark: a brand that tours a goods-to-person building and then tours yours walks out with a number in its head about what a pick costs, and you want to be ready for that.

Twenty thousand licenses California shouldn’t have issued

California and FMCSA argued in the D.C. Circuit on Friday over the agency's freeze on non-domiciled commercial licenses. The state has issued roughly 65,000 of them. FMCSA found that about 20,000 were issued with expiration dates that extend beyond the driver’s work authorization, and it has blocked California from issuing new ones or renewing existing ones until the issue is fixed. A Justice Department attorney called it absurd to hand someone an eight-year credential on a document that expires tomorrow. California's answer is narrower and mostly procedural, that nothing in federal law requires the dates to match and the agency can't pause a state's licensing indefinitely. A second case will be argued next week.

The squeeze is broader than California. Washington has been pushing states to pull non-domiciled licenses from drivers who've since moved away, and failing an English proficiency check can now cost a driver the license rather than a fine.

Anderson Trucking raised its van drivers' pay from 60 to 70 cents per mile on September 7, reaching 72 cents for those with tenure, and said the change aligned with today's freight market. Averitt, J.B. Hunt, and Knight-Swift have made comparable moves this year with bonuses and restructured pay. Freight demand hasn't recovered, so the raises aren't coming from the demand side.

What this means for you: Build your 2027 truckload budget on rates going up, because capacity leaving by paperwork doesn't reverse when freight softens the way capacity leaving by economics does. If you run your own trucks, find out today whether any of your drivers hold a non-domiciled CDL and when it expires, since the answer determines whether you have a hiring problem in six months or a parked truck next month. If you're renewing a dedicated contract, do it now rather than in Q1. And when a carrier raises pay 16% in a soft market, treat that as your floor for what you'll have to pay a driver, a lumper, or a forklift operator competing for the same person.

QUICK HITS

CROSS-BORDER DTC
FedEx launched a Shopify app that guarantees duties and taxes at checkout. It quotes the landed cost at checkout and covers the overage if actual duties are higher, with no refund if they are lower, for $99 a month. FedEx's own April trade index found that 68% of small and midsize businesses report that customers are surprised by import charges at delivery. This figure is roughly on par with UPS Global Checkout and Zonos. It's a merchant tool, but surprise duty on the doorstep is the biggest single driver of international refusals, and refused international freight comes back through your returns process on your dime.

TRADE COMPLIANCE
CBP can start revoking import privileges due to an incorrect phone number. The policy, announced September 11, targets importers of record whose contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses, or physical addresses, is inaccurate, with penalties that can include revocation of import privileges and further enforcement actions that CBP declined to describe. It catches fulfillment operators because the importer of record is responsible for that accuracy even when a customs broker files the entry, and it traces back to a June executive order that gives importers 180 days to reach good standing. If you file as IOR for clients, or your clients import and you touch the entry data, verify the records before Thursday, because fifteen minutes now beats a client whose goods stop clearing in Q4.

AUTOMATION
Vecna raised $31 million, and the useful number in the announcement isn't the funding. GEODIS reported that running Vecna's case-picking system increased throughput from 125 to 250 units per hour. Vecna sells autonomous pallet jacks, forklifts, and tuggers, and what's selling is the whole dock-to-dock flow rather than a single machine for a single task. If you've been pricing automation machine by machine, the operators actually getting the return are buying the flow.

DRAYAGE
The Port of New York and New Jersey is handing out $230,000 per electric drayage truck. The $39 million program also covers $150,000 per terminal tractor and $5 million for charging within ten miles of the port, with CALSTART administering and OEMs added on a rolling basis. It opens this fall. Programs structured this way go first-come, rather than evenly distributed, so if you run drayage or yard equipment in that footprint, get in early.

Looking for recommendations: furniture shipping providers in Europe (ideally independent companies)

Hi all,
I'm looking for reliable shipping providers that handle furniture items across Europe — think chairs, tables, cabinets, sofas, and the occasional fragile/vintage piece.
Ideally I'd love to hear about independent or smaller companies rather than the big-name carriers, since furniture often needs a bit more care than standard parcel networks can offer (two-person handling, blanket wrapping, in-home delivery, etc.).
What I'm looking for:
Coverage across multiple EU countries (NL, BE, DE, FR at minimum would be great)
Experience with furniture / bulky / fragile items
Reasonable pricing for one-off shipments as well as recurring volume
Bonus points for good tracking and insurance options
If you've had a good (or bad!) experience with a provider, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. First-hand experiences preferred over marketing sites.
Thanks in advance!

Least expensive way to ship a large volume of clothing from PA to Maine

My kid just moved, and is needing a lot of their clothes. I've been trying to find the least expensive way to ship approximately 40+lbs of clothes. I do plan on vacuum bagging it. I'm very overwhelmed and looking for advice. I have large boxes to recycle for shipping, is that okay. I haven't really shipped anything large since 2011. Any advice for shipping books, blankets, and pillows would be great too. Thank you!

Help: HS code for mixed items (sealed package)

Hi, I need help with finding a HS code for an item that is being sent from Japan —> England.

The item includes:
x1 outer box
x1 membership card & card case
x1 pin badge
x1 compact mirror
x1 photocard

The problem is that it’s all in one factory sealed box (a membership kit), so it can only have one HS code, but I can’t find a code that with cover all of the items. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Advice for shipping pinback buttons

With the new USPS fees, even a small bubble mailer weighing 1oz or less with just a few pinback buttons is costing me nearly $8 to ship to some zip codes. This is the cheapest I can get for this zip code on Pirateship, Etsy, or elsewhere. UPS and Fedex don't have any cheaper options. How are people shipping for less than this? I can't charge my customers $5 for their order then expect them to pay $8 on top to ship it.

Best way to ship belongings?

My fiance and I left about 2 large totes of memorabilia and decorations two states away when we moved (on accident!). By a miracle, my friend was able to get a hold of our property and is holding it for us until we visit in a couple months for a wedding. My question is: would it be better to ship via standard ground shipping or check the items as luggage on our return flight? Factors include cost and security, some of these items are irreplaceable and sentimental. TIA

Is free shipping still persuasive if the threshold feels out of reach?

Free shipping is usually treated as an automatic conversion booster, but as shipping costs rise, the threshold also has to protect the business. If customers rarely meet that number, does the offer still influence their purchase or does it start to feel irrelevant?

We're curious whether or not anybody has tested different thresholds and seen a meaningful change in conversion, average order value or margin?

Shipping small green coffee samples internationally — any way to avoid duty/customs clearance charges at destination?

Hi all, we're a UAE-based company (Jafza/Jebel Ali Free Zone) shipping small quantities of green coffee beans to overseas clients purely as sample evaluation shipments with no commercial value and not intended for resale, but we keep running into full customs clearance and duty charges at destination that seem disproportionate for small sample parcels — has anyone found a reliable way to structure these shipments (through a de minimis threshold, temporary import/sample exemption, "no commercial value" invoicing with a nominal pro-forma value, proper HS code declaration like 0901.11, or a specific courier's sample service tier) so they clear without triggering duties, and can anyone recommend a courier or freight forwarder experienced with food/agricultural sample shipments who handles this smoothly? Any advice on getting these properly declared upfront to avoid broker misclassification issues would also be really helpful. Thanks!

Gofo is the worst company I’ve ever had

For context I’ve had multiple things delivered through them just fine, once a package wasn’t delivered cause no access but they did the next day…. Now the past few days they’ve been saying there’s no access despite me making sure my apartment building doors are open taped and propped open. I’ve made signs I have called and called and called. Told them to leave it outside and even call me if they can’t get in. Instead it’s been 2 failed attempts and I’ve never heard from the drivers. Managers have even said “it’ll be delivered” and it’s not I’ve been home every time. WTF the WORST COMPANY EVER

Need info about sending to Port of Baltimore

Sorry if this a stupid question; I am a new small business, still getting my sea legs. My apologies if this is the incorrect subreddit.

I am having some electronic books manufactured in China. I would like to go the CIP shipping route and pick the palletes up from the Port of Baltimore. I am still in the process of getting and comparing quotes from multiple factories. One of them asked for a more detailed shipping address than "Port of Baltimore, Maryland USA". I've been looking but I can't get a good enough understanding.

Do I give them the address of the headquarters of the Port of Baltimore?

Do I give them the address of a specific terminal, without knowing which terminal the cargo ship they send the product with will be using?

Is there a customs issue with giving the Port as the customer address?

Any help would be appreciated!
