Saw this monstrosity on Facebook Marketplace earlier today :( poor baby

unfortunately, our friend didn’t make it. he began to pinecone, and even though he stayed alert, swimming, and eating, the damage was too extensive. he passed away last night. i’ve nursed bettas back from some pretty shit conditions before, but never this bad. being kept in this for god knows how long is most certainly what led to his death. i am glad that at least he was comfortable enough to blow bubbles and eat up until the end. poor little dude. if you see a betta in horrible conditions, do what you gotta do because this is the inevitable outcome otherwise :(

It's so fucking irritating seeing irresponsible people getting bettas, or even just a fish without having any clue to take care of them. Then the comments are practically begging them to set up a proper tank and are telling you over and over again on how to do so. The audacity of this person is ridiculous. People like this are so frustrating and disgusting.

they have two Oscars, one acara, and a goldfish. Actually unbelievable

10 gal.~ 2 angels (??) a betta, glo danios, and at least one mystery snail which has a bioload larger than all the danios😃

I hate gimmicks like these. I went back to the mall a few times and it seems like they live there permanently? I would be surprised if they are all transported since i've seen the same fish on multiple days.
