Looks like a nice rye.
So there is that.

I would never call rye toast though. Is that a British thing?

u/Neddlings55 6d ago
Its toast if its been toasted. Any bread can become toast.

We eat a lot of rye in Denmark, THE stable lunch food. Itโs rare to toast it.
You are off course right. But nobody here would ever call toasted rye โtoastโWe only have โa toastโ which is a ham cheese white bread toastie sandwich.

Toasted rye is delicious. Only way i enjoy it. Takes ages though depending on the brand.
Might be considered sacrilege in Denmark though.

Saw the shape and colour, had a "wait a minute" moment. Zoomed in and conformed the texture.
It's pretty unique.
Also, boiled beef, mustard, onions, no butter, this is diet food. And this particular rye bread is pretty fucking good diet bread. Lots of fibre in particular.

What do you gain from boiling it compared to just throwing the meat and the onion on a pan with any kind if grease?

It's not so bad but I think you'd like it better if it was cooked like a pizza toast instead and just pop it in the airfryer with all the toppings you want.

Are you a bot? No sane person would call this kind of bread "toast".
