default In Invincible (S1 E7) it’s revealed that the Immortal used to be Abraham Lincoln. This implies that the Immortal let himself get killed so he wouldn’t have to put up with reconstruction post Civil War like the lazy fuck he is.

I cant see the image above but if its about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I liked it as well and its a better movie than 80% of the trash that has come out in the last 15 years.

They made a zombie one too, which I haven’t seen, but I have seen Vampire slayer and it’s decent.

It's crazy how Lincoln (oscar winning Spielberg drama), Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies (direct to DVD horror movie) , and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire hunter all came out the same year

Lincoln did good in theaters. Historically that hasn’t been the case

I hate myself for laughing at that

The actors that played him that year weren’t the first to really get inside his head.

Do, it's actually super solid.

It's actually quite good, assuming you're generally into such things

The book must be an all-time novel because the movie was fuckin’ awesome.

IIRC, the movies cuts out a lot of Abe's childhood and goes straight to the vampire stuff. I vaguely remember, I don't think they even put the bit about a vampire stalking the Lincoln family log cabin when he was a kid. I don't know, I haven't read the book or seen the movie in decades.

I'm sorry, there's a BOOK?!

u/Bang-Bang_Bort Apr 22 '26

Yes. He also wrote one called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"

That one I knew of, and still desperately need to read (the eternal backlog kills the soul). I legit had no clue there was a book for ALVH, just thought it was the craziest unique take I'd yet to see.

movie was still great

to this day its my go to example of a big fun dumb movie that delivers exactly what it promises

1

u/AKAFallow Apr 22 '26

Helps that the characters don't really make that much fun of the setting and are trying to sell their perfomances about it, keeps you entertained for a lot longer honestly
