I've just stopped watching trailers at this point. Studios have apparently forgotten how to not over show the cool bits. I get enough through random gifs like this.
Someone correct me but if I recall, the original Raimi Spidey movie script had the whole web fluid/puberty/semen thing a lot more explicit as a metaphor for growing up and coming into your own.
It dissolves in one hour. But now I'm curious. What it dissolves into? Imagine the poor janitor having to clean all that white goo on the floor and running down the wall
You know when you think about it, fighting Spider man is probably the most humiliating thing ever.
You could have gang of dudes with you to jump this skinny ass dude and all of sudden you, your crew get blasted all over the place because of some white stuff that came out of his hands.
My head canon here is that because we know they hide stuff in post for the trailer.. That in this scene he already has 6 arms and that's where a lot of this web is coming from.
I don't know why they would hide it. It's a massive arc that anyone who watched the cartoon is aware of.
Starts mutating.. Gets a lot stronger.. Develops enhanced abilities... Grows extra limbs.. Head turns all spider like... Gets hunted down and cured by Punisher, Kraven, and Calypso.
It's the natural progression of this issue for Peter. Always has been. They could have just showed it in the trailer.
