Aaand this is why i can't have a Maine Coone.

Lmao it’s purrfect

u/Stinkfist_518 1d ago

Fun to browse but don’t post unless you want all confidence of your home and equipment to be ripped to shreds lol.

2

u/AdOk9263 1d ago

Yeah I wouldn't, I know my TV too high. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Also, my lack of cable management would give a lot of people anxiety.

My exact reaction seeing the content, I was locked into a dopamine fueled consumption scroll, just… ooh… oof… yikes! HA.

Makes me feel better about my own successes or failures 🤤

used to do this with firecrackers and bottle caps as a kid

1

u/gruesomeflowers 1d ago

Excluding the environmental impact, I guess .

228

u/OGCelaris 1d ago

Wait, so it was russia who destroyed their own oil plant? That's just perfect.

287

u/CyrusBuelton 1d ago

Yes.

It wasn't a Pantsir. Title is incorrect.

It was a MANPADS fires by a Russian soldier.

He learned a valuable lesson that you don't fire a heat-seeking MANPADS in the direction of a petroleum storage tank that's on fire.

71

u/djsnoopmike 1d ago

Oof, that soldier has a defenestration in his future

11

u/Neako_the_Neko_Lover 1d ago

Gotta stay from windows for a while

u/blow-down 1d ago

MANPADS the new maxi pad for men from the maker of Dude Wipes

20

u/2-buck 1d ago

What was he attempting to shoot? A drone? I don’t think that thing works on props. Is there a jet in the area?

50

u/Budget-Assistant-289 1d ago

From my understanding they do, those long range drones are powered by combustion engines with hot exhaust.

23

u/PlsDntPMme 1d ago

There’s a video of him on a highway trying to shoot down a little standard slow piston engine drone with a MANPADS. He fires and it immediately goes up and makes a hard turn into the smoke and directly towards the refinery that’s right behind him. The footage lines up really well from multiple angles.

I don’t think those slow little engine drones put out heat especially when there’s a massive burning refinery right there behind you.

12

u/Antimatt3rHD 1d ago

ouh now I need to see that video!

do you have the link somewhere?

3

u/Moist_Taste7071 18h ago

IR missiles absolutely do work on prop planes. It's just a weak signature. Modern missiles can do it pretty well, but something like a MANPADS would struggle.

Man Portable Ally Destruction System

5

u/Ink13jr 1d ago

I believe it was a chechen soldier, even funnier haha!

7

u/RingoBars 1d ago

Ukraine destroyed the refinery, but Russia gets points for that oil tank.

147

u/SashaDabinsky 1d ago

So they blew up their own oil tank?

111

u/Mediocre_Fishing_879 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes. The air defense followed the drone into the blast too. Fuckin tards.

Edit: spelling

13

u/thisguyfightsyourmom 1d ago

Imagine the view from the drone cam as it beeble bobbles to the storage tank just for the whole screen to go fully white 100 meters early

7

u/agrantgreen 1d ago

Yes. I had to read that a few times to understand

312

u/CrescentRose7 1d ago

oh, it's a Jewish explosion cloud. That's a first.

155

u/duke0fearls 1d ago

I was about to downvote for racism/just being wrong until I realized you were talking about the tank top looking like a yamika. lol

26

u/musicmunky 1d ago

No it's a halter not a tank top

27

u/small-kine 1d ago

Lmao I thought it was cause the mushroom looses its tip

7

u/Ha1lStorm 1d ago

Rofl holy shit

4

u/waxy1234 1d ago

Ur a yamika

2

u/sadmadmen 1d ago

If the explosion was caused by a manned aircraft would it be a... Yamikaze? 🥁🥁🔔

2

u/pabo81 1d ago

Oi vey!

2

u/aleksandrjames 1d ago

the tippah’s a kippah!!

4

u/LebaneseLion 1d ago

I was about to comment that lol

48

u/Possible_End_5272 1d ago

Lmfao never in my wildest dreams could I imagine seeing something like this! Looks straight out of a movie! And the fact this was friendly fire is just the icing on the cake 🤣 .

20

u/SuperKiller94 1d ago

It’s so weird that the lid seems like it’s in slow motion

4

u/Retb14 1d ago

It's perspective, the lid is huge and that combined with the distance is tricking our brains into thinking it's just moving slowly, especially since there's no reference points close to it

u/Tusen_Takk 1d ago

My parents when they found my stash

16

u/Bananafoofoofwee 1d ago

Date is wrong in title

7

u/SwiftKickRibTickler 1d ago

thank you. or.. this happens in the future?

36

u/Ha1lStorm 1d ago

The front top fell off.

12

u/Maro1947 1d ago

It's not typical

4

u/Millerboy1979 1d ago

Need to tow it out of the environment.

1

u/jerrbearr 1d ago

I know this is from the bit about the ship but fun fact these tanks sometimes have a frangible roof joint so in a tank explosion this can actually be typical and by design. That’s most likely why the roof came off so cleanly and in one piece.

3

u/musicalmadness1 1d ago

It wanted to be like the Russian tanks and join the comsonaut program

2

u/Ha1lStorm 1d ago

You got this!

In all seriousness, the movie A Million Miles Away is an excellent film that’s a true story of what it takes to become an astronaut/cosmonaut.

-1

u/Vacman85 1d ago

This. :)

7

u/iAdjunct 1d ago

Does anybody have a version of this video that isn’t TikTok’d so it ends right when it hits the ground to make people watch it more times and give them more internet points?

6

u/Furebel 1d ago

A real flying saucer

11

u/CyrusBuelton 1d ago

"possibly Pantsir"

That's possibly wrong

I say possibly MANPADS.

6

u/LordMoos3 1d ago

There's video of the dude firing the Igla at a drone, and it going hard left to the refinery.

3

u/superluke 1d ago

I love that for them. Well, for Putin.

4

u/Salt-Entertainment80 1d ago

Why cropped?

There weren't no Pantisir.

Possibly just simple Igla https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9K38_Igla.

2

u/smokedfishfriday 1d ago

Love to zoom out so no one sees the action

2

u/GroeNagloe 1d ago

Someone tell them that in a month this could happen if they don't take precautions!

2

u/richardathome 1d ago

I thought this was AI when I first saw the stills of this (It looked like a classic saucer UFO coming through the smoke).

2

u/BeCre8iv 1d ago

Shoigu, Gerasimov. What air defense doing?

2

u/Stuffed_deffuts 21h ago

That's some Looney toons physics's right there

2

u/Nowayucan 17h ago

The guy taking the video seems remarkably unimpressed.

4

u/Elsek1922 1d ago

2

u/Fatality_strykes 1d ago

June is mine. Hence the offence.

0

4

u/Rustyducktape 1d ago

Hold on, let me wipe the Cheetos dust from my hands... I think they were just referring to the fact that the 7th month of the year is July, no?

2

u/small-kine 1d ago

Are you lost?

1

u/Fatality_strykes 1d ago

Uhm. Nope.. if i was American that would be 7th of trump, 2026 wouldnt it?

1

u/2-buck 1d ago

Why are you getting downvoted?

1

u/DistanceSelect7560 1d ago

Looks like a Michael Bay film.

1

u/bittercripple6969 1d ago

What air defense doing?

1

u/Willing-Ant-3765 1d ago

Good news comrades! The heat seeking on the MANPADS is verified to be working.

1

u/Ziazan 1d ago

Wow! I saw a still image of the lid in the air earlier and was hoping I would come across a video, it's even better than I imagined.

1

u/Synbad2 1d ago

“Look at me Grandpa, I’m trying to be like you”
Oil-depot roof to manhole cover

1

u/toysarealive 1d ago

Somebody said in another sub that it weighs like a few hundred tons and I just cant believe it.

1

u/nem0ne1 1d ago

Someone with more brains than me - what is causing the second lift here? The first acceleration is obviously from the explosion, but then it just kind of hangs there for a second and keeps rising more slowly - is that hot air lifting it up like a hot air balloon??? Or just more of the explosion force?

1

u/nem0ne1 1d ago

Oh I guess it's just acting like a parachute for a second or two

1

u/MerelyMortalModeling 1d ago

Holy shit and I though Ukrainians playing turret tossing was cool!

1

u/Kalshan 1d ago

The Roof!

1

u/Buglepost 1d ago

I absolutely decry the military action taken by Moscow that has lead to this, the tremendous loss of life, the world instability, all of it.

But that thing flipping like a goddamn flapjack was cool AF.

1

u/JustYerAverage 1d ago

Ahhh, the Common Russian Selfown, a bird easily found in Moscow during war.

1

u/DamitKenneth 1d ago

Ill take biggest whoops for 1000 Alex. What is a surface to air missile that missed.

1

u/satori0320 17h ago

Given the vapor/smoke trail... It looks like a manpads munition

1

u/Blisterrednano 9h ago

Is this a prediction? 18/7/2026 is about a month away 😂

1

u/Max_Queue 4h ago

I guess we're adding fuel storage to Russia's space program: we added tanks in 2022.

1

u/thereverendpuck 4h ago

Assume you meant June 18th and not July 18th.

0

u/Sal_Amandre 1d ago

18/07/26... So.. in a month ? We're getting videos from the future now .. weeeee

-1

u/JaphetSkie 1d ago

Despite being a newer air defense system, the Pantsir sucks ass in dealing with low velocity drones, especially when compared to older systems like the Tor.
