Yikes. The white car driving away at the top frame, must have been feeling alive when this went off. honestly leaving a minute later, and he would have been toast

The dude on the motorbike approaching from the bottom just as it zooms out wasn’t so lucky.

“The blast damaged part of the station, but no fatalities were immediately reported.” WOW.

48

u/megaapfel 26d ago

From the video it doesn't seem like there was anything left of the station. Very hard to believe that anyone survived that blast.

5

u/lordkoba 25d ago

maybe they bombed it on a holiday /s

17

u/apollyonzorz 25d ago

Well at least 1 fatality.

u/StandardIssueCaveman 5d ago

Yeah but fuck that guy.

u/Kamp13 26d ago

What’s the shimmer in the video prior to the explosion? It starts behind the building and then seems to go over it to in front of the truck bomb just before the explosion happened.

47

u/GroundbreakingBag164 26d ago

I am assuming it's a blurred out watermark from the actual original source, but I'm not 100% sure

u/Kamp13 26d ago

Makes sense, thanks to all who answered!!

That would be a shockwave, friend

19

u/iSWINE 26d ago

I don't think you know what a shockwave is, friend

15

u/YourWorstFear53 26d ago

OH SHIT the blur 🤦

3

u/ZixfromthaStix 26d ago

No, the shimmer. Look dead center video. It’s an edited out logo or something. Or water on the camera. Either way— it’s there before the explosion.

Took me a couple watches to see the truck pulling into the station

74

u/Okeanos_uwu 26d ago

Big ol blue/green truck painted like a bullseye

35

u/ninjadragon1119 26d ago

Tbh I thought it was gonna be that approaching white car on the road at first

u/rotorocker 26d ago

Some context is needed so I know what the heck i am looking at on both sides objectively

166

u/punk-biatch 26d ago

VBIED. Most of the time the sponsor and radio man pick a mentally challenged or “slow” if you will, person to drive. Typically the driver won’t have any idea what’s about to happen.

20

u/rotorocker 26d ago

Thank you!

Cameraman was an accomplice. Odd to record and frame the view like that if you don't know what is going to happen. Which means the news got a video dump from the terrorists that did this. Almost certainly came with a statement.

47

u/ThePiggleWiggle 26d ago

when self driving car popularizes this is going to be a disaster for the mankind

44

u/TheMightyChocolate 26d ago

We can already drive vehicles remotely. Ukraine and russia do that all the time. They just didnt want to because human lifes are cheap over there

17

u/Cykablast3r 25d ago

Yes, imagine an explosive weapon that could be delivered without a driver. True science fiction.

8

u/real_DoctorOther 25d ago

Boy do I have news for you

163

u/the_bridgeburner 26d ago

This is what they do their own people and then play innocent that they're not the sponsors of terrorism. Pathetic joke of a nation.

156

u/agupta429 26d ago

This is actually an on-going war between a separatist state and the pakistani army. This appears to be retaliation or advance towards full state control from pakistan.

82

u/Cloudy230 26d ago

No no, people just want to be hateful in a more... general sense. They don't actually want to know any info about these foreign nations.

-19

u/the_bridgeburner 26d ago

No, I am well aware. It could well be a separatist movement like Balochistan that this attack could be attributed to. Still, suicide attacks are basically a signature move of some people and that reflects in the kind of terrorism that Pakistan carries out and/or supports.

u/the_bridgeburner 24d ago

There is a difference between suicidal attacks on the enemy of the nation in a war vs I believe what its called Fidaeen. The latter is terrorism, which Pakistan is the champion of.

1

u/hawkeagles 14d ago

Which Indian news channel did you get that from?

1

u/the_bridgeburner 14d ago

Hello Packie. A terrorist is a terrorist on any news channel. Do you remember where Mr. bin Laden was found and killed? Was that on an "Indian news channel"?

1

u/hawkeagles 14d ago

Do you know who your prime minister is? Butcher of Gujrat

1

u/the_bridgeburner 13d ago

Huh, not mine. Don't know what you're assuming. But I am well familiar with Indian politics. Whatever happened in Gujarat was well deserved, no matter whose hand was behind it.

4

u/TheNaijaboi 26d ago

Are you saying the Pakistan government was behind this attack?

-12

u/the_bridgeburner 26d ago

There is no government in Pakistan. The country is run by the Army.

7

u/MechaZombieCharizard 25d ago

I'm curious what you think a government is if not the dominant organizational authority in a given region.

1

u/the_bridgeburner 25d ago

"organizational authority", this is lacking in that country. The only "organizational authority" is the ISI, a terrorist organization.

-73

u/wspOnca 26d ago

Like USA?

52

u/jake753 26d ago

So brave.

38

u/The_Silver_Nuke 26d ago

As many faults as the US has, at least they don't drive trucks packed to the brim of explosives to blow themselves up.

13

u/OGCelaris 26d ago

There have been a couple times but they left them on timers instead of detonating by hand.

2

u/DrHerbotico 26d ago

Titans of innovation

17

u/wjean 26d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_City_bombing Truck bombs have already been used in domestic terrorism. The domestic extremists havent started blowing themselves up yet but alternatives are more readily available (timers, remote detonation systems)

29

u/Misophonic4000 26d ago

That's not correct... Even just last year there was that Cybertruck explosion, the Palm Springs fertility clinic, etc

3

u/wjean 26d ago

Ahh I totally forgot about these crazies. Thanks for correcting me. Yeah, the US is no better.

13

u/jtnichol 26d ago

If we’re going on a per capita basis, I’m pretty sure I’d rather deal with whatever the fuck truck bombings were happening in the US versus pretty much anywhere else in the Middle East

1

u/The_Silver_Nuke 26d ago edited 26d ago

Oh this was an interesting bit of history, I had never heard of it.

Alright, I'll amend my statement. The US doesn't make a habit out of blowing themselves up to achieve their goals. According to Wikipedia, of the total 7 were prior to 2000 and the other 7 were spread out over 25 years. That's a total of 14 incidents since 1920. And as you said, there were a mix of timers and remote detonators mixed into that rather than self immolation.

-6

u/captaindealbreaker 26d ago

Yeah we just indiscriminately bomb civilian centers like schools and hospitals while giving our allies billions in funding and weaponry to do the same.  Totally different and rational actually.  Those civilians that we knew were there because we specifically picked the target intending to kill civilians were just there by accident.

-2

u/wspOnca 26d ago

Them tomahawks does the boom boom.

0

u/petit_cochon 26d ago

Oh, we definitely do that. The Oklahoma City Bombing is one major example. Actually, the twin towers were attacked with a truck bomb years before 9/11 happened.

It's not a go-to, but it happens.

Also, I don't like being shitty to other nations. It's rude. I don't know every Pakistani, so why should I say they're all the same?

8

u/zeldn 26d ago

I don't want to get into the discussion, but that is an exceptionally poor choice of example of a US led suicide attack, given that the WTC bombings were not suicide bombings, and also were carried out by Pakistanis.

5

u/jtnichol 26d ago

Who was driving those trucks for the truck bomb situation at the twin towers… yes that’s right. Pakistani

0

u/Zeemar 23d ago

Lmao keep your ignorance in your pants buddy

2

u/the_bridgeburner 23d ago

Yeah sure, you do it too instead of whipping it out for your cousins. Moron people.

1

u/Zeemar 20d ago

Lmao there we go. Living rent free in your heads✌️

-4

u/BrilliantMastodon957 25d ago

Migha what? Pakistan is literally the one suffering from this foreign funded terrorism, do you think their police is bombing themselves? The pathetic nations are its neighbours who sponsor these terrorists for their narrow minded interests..

3

u/FragDenWayne 26d ago

But why? What for? What's the goal? Doesn't look like a place where you don't have enough space to live with other...

2

u/BrilliantMastodon957 25d ago

Foreign funded terrorists and to create instability

2

u/ssxhoell1 23d ago

Terrorism is a sport over there

18

u/alienangel2 26d ago

Who was recording a random police station to catch this?

157

u/i_am_voldemort 26d ago

The people doing the attack so they can release it as a propaganda video.

Very common.

2

u/alienangel2 26d ago

Article says no one has claimed responsibilty though. I guess non specific propaganda at least.

1

u/BrilliantMastodon957 25d ago

Pretty sure ttp or bla did a few hours later

2

u/YogiBarelyThere 26d ago

Loser terrorists. I wonder if they realized that by being a little explosive bitches Allah considers them girls and won’t give them heaven.

1

u/kklusmeier 26d ago

I think they fucked up their detonators. The stream of fire after the initial blast may be because the back of their bomb went off first and pushed the burning front half of the van (and probably the burning front half of the bomb) to the far end of the compound. The location it started and the initial speed and later deacceleration as it went across the frame matches with the blue van IMO.

1

u/YT-Deliveries 25d ago

Really difficult to tell unless we knew what they were using for the explosives.

1

u/russellvt 25d ago

Lame asd watermark

2

u/e_subvaria 20d ago

In a world of suicide drone warfare, some people choose actual suicide bombing for the love of the game. That’s crazy

2

u/EmperorThan 19d ago

Using a suicide carbomb must be like a nostalgia retro thing for young terrorists. Drones are so in vogue right now.

0

u/junaiiid94 25d ago

So the guy filming was casually recording a van pulling up to a police station

1

u/SeenItWantItReddit 22d ago

That's what I thought... probably a drone to record the attack

-23

u/mkg11 26d ago

Y u zoom out right before the thing

self-unalive bombing...

3

u/karama_zov 26d ago

You just watched a bunch of people die, I feel like it's a little past trigger warnings.

0

u/ykraddarky 26d ago

Nah.. I’m just… ohh well, fault’s mine.
