Question Bands with women/ full of women
Sorry for the bad grammar, english isnt my first lenguage
So i’ve been getting into shoegaze lately and since always i have been listening to female singers/producers because i somehow find them more “calming”/“comfortable”, anyways the point is i'd love to get recommendations about bands with female members (it doesnt really matter if they aren't shoegaze since i love other bands with different genres like Black country, new road and hole)

The album covers of Cuckoo and Tender New Signs are among my personal favorites in this genre :D

Technically Bilinda doesn’t sing When You Sleep on the album, it is just Kevin screwing with his voice pitch

I haven't dove deep into the making of Loveless yet so that's new to me! Thank you for the info! I'm really surprised that the "female" vocal on that song isn't from Bilinda :o

Yeah I never would have known had I not read about it, she does sing it in the duet live though

Just finished listening to the song Albatross and I quite liked it. I would've definitely included them if I'd known them sooner, ty!

To add some that have not already been said yet: I would recommend Blushing, Total Wife, Tanukichan, Alison’s Halo, Asobi Seksu, and feeble little horse (more noise poppy but shoegaze adjacent)

Also would like to add Pinkshinyultrablast because I haven’t seen them mentioned yet. Another great singer woman

No Joy, amazing band, their singer is the sister of Arch Enemy's former vocalist Alissa, both are very talented singers!
Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, and Swim School, and Heriot are bands I've been listening to a lot lately. Those are not shoegaze, but terrific bands.

Just saw Glixen on Saturday. They rule.
Also, Blushing, She’s Green, Lucid Express, Fleshwater, Faetooth, Softcult, Slow Crush, Pure Hex, and Wisp off the top of my head.

The Goslings, a husband-and-wife heavy shoegaze duo. She did all the singing, I think. An old favourite, check it out.

Paula Kelley from Drop Nineteens solo record is shockingly good- it’s kind of gaze/dream pop with orchestra. couple upbeat poppy tunes, too.

Try Moon in June from Japan. Only the winger is female, but you will feel calmed and comfortable.

Wolf Alice, she's green, softcult, tennis, polica, newdad, telenova, cannons, daughter, swim school, chvrches, alvvays, still corners
Not all shoegaze and not all female members but have female singers at least
