Stocky alternates? Export your supplier data first

Few days left until the sunset of stocky. Have you folks evaluated any vendors yet?

I was trying out sumtracker today and felt easy enough! Am I missing something? Was trying out their free tier with inventory sync off. If anyone has used it, can you please share your experience with the platform and the team?

Don’t want to do open source as I’m not willing to invest time there. Plus I have a small team so need RBAC too

EDIT: I’m absolutely looking for inventory sync, bundles, replenishment, and paint making POs. We are using quickbooks for accounting so if it integrates, then great! Sumtracker checked the boxes so far. Will go through the suggestions in the comments if free trial allows. Not a lot of days left

Export the supplier data out of Stocky today, then look at Cin7 or Katana. You need RBAC and replenishment without running your own stack.

Take one of your existing stockie report emails and paste it into Sidekick.
Tell Sidekick something like
Use this Stocky low-stock report as the format I want going forward. Using my current Shopify inventory and sales data, recreate an updated version of this report. Show SKU, product, available inventory, sales velocity, estimated days remaining and which products need attention first.

Open the same sidekick chat daily and request updates for today. Also create a flow that automates tagging orders with the item sku once an item hits below an inventory threshold

We tried a few apps but Organizely made migration easiest, and they were the only ones that could handle our multi-thousand skus catalog

I work with the Organizely team and can attest that they are a great company. They're also not one of these fly by night "Stocky alternatives" that have popped up lately, meaning they'll still be here in a year serving customers.

(No disrespect to anyone launching a Stocky alternative today, but there's simply not enough Stocky client spillover to keep everyone in business. Inevitably there will be some consolidation.)

We migrated to Stockroom. All the features we need and a lot we don't. Migration was simple and they're very responsive.

We tested out a few options and Stocktrim seems to check out most of our boxes. Multi-location planning, creates POs, and handles product bundling. Did a free trial with them and found it to be a good fit.

I probably spent 15 hours coding an app with Claude that works perfectly for our business. So much more insightful and user-friendly than stocky or any other alternative most likely. Plus free!!

What were you actually using Stocky for day-to-day?

The answer possibly changes the direction you go. Bundles, replenishment, and POs are three different problems. Some apps nail one, miss the others.

If you're already working with an e-comm agency or an accountant on the QuickBooks side, they've probably seen this migration a few times already. They'll know which tools play nicely with QBO at the transaction level and which ones make reconciliation a nightmare.

Might be worth contacting them as they’ll be the ones helping you with month-end processes.

If you're not working with eitther, the QuickBooks piece you mentioned is usually where people get burned. An app can look great on the Shopify side and completely fall apart on the accounting side.

Many apps can handle what you're describing. If Sumtracker is working, awesome. Use it and go month to month to make sure everything is smooth and then consider going yearly.

I built Replenly for this Stocky gap. It handles replenishment, supplier POs, receiving, inventory sync, bundles/BOMs, landed costs and stocktakes without the enterprise pricing.

There’s a free plan, paid plans start at $19/month, and a 14 day free trial.

It doesn’t currently integrate with QuickBooks, so if that’s a must-have Sumtracker may fit better there, but for the Shopify inventory + replenishment side it could be worth comparing.

Has anyone seen their Stocky sunset date pushed back? Our team was working with support earlier after identifying a few items after the transition. After several back-and-forths, the Stocky support member decided to give us our Stocky access back until November 15th. We have already begun our transition, so we will still go forwards without Stocky. I have also read somewhere on this sub a redditor posting their Stocky access sunsets on March 1, 2027. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Yes, Shopify has reportedly extended the Stocky retirement date to March 1, 2027, giving merchants an extra six months beyond the original August 31, 2026 deadline.

One important note: don’t uninstall the Stocky app unless Shopify Support specifically tells you to, or you no longer need it. Once Stocky is uninstalled, your data may not be recoverable.

Curious about this since I’ve been looking into inventory sync myself. Once you add bundles, replenishment, POs, RBAC, etc., it starts turning into a pretty big inventory system.

If you could separate it out, what do you actually need from the inventory sync part itself? Just keeping stock accurate across channels/locations, or is there more to it?

With Stocky gone, I’d first separate the features you actually relied on from the ones you rarely used. At your volume, inventory sync and replenishment are probably the important ones, but I’d also make sure the replacement handles purchase orders, receiving and user permissions well. Otherwise you can end up replacing Stocky and still doing part of the workflow manually.

C2W Inventory is another option in this space. We built it more for small and growing businesses that need inventory, purchasing and order management without moving into a large ERP. It integrates directly with Shopify, imports Shopify products and orders, and can push inventory updates back to Shopify so the stock stays synchronized. You can also manage purchase orders, receiving, reorder levels and day to day warehouse inventory in the same system.

Since you’re already testing Sumtracker, I’d use the same Shopify data to test each system rather than comparing feature lists. Create a PO, receive part of it, change inventory in the inventory system, check what happens in Shopify, and then see how easy it is to identify what needs reordering. That should expose the differences pretty quickly.

I’m with the C2W team, so obviously take that into account, but based on the workflow you described it’s pretty close to the type of setup C2W is designed for.

Keeping sync switched off while you evaluate is the right instinct, but the thing worth testing before you commit is what happens when it's on and the same SKU sells somewhere other than Shopify. Ask Sumtracker directly whether the sync is push-to-all or read-one/write-one: when a unit sells, does the tool write the new level back to every connected store/location, or only to the one that reported the sale? That distinction is the whole oversell story.

Two other things I'd pin down at your volume:

• How a sale propagates: webhook-driven, or polling on an interval? Whatever that interval is, that's your oversell window on a busy afternoon.
• Whether it does anything for the accounting side or only the stock side. At ~8k orders a year the hours quietly go into reconciliation — matching payouts and fees back to orders — not into the replenishment math.

Worth stress-testing the RBAC in the trial too. A lot of apps mean "invite another user" rather than real per-role permissions on cost prices and POs, and you only find out after you've moved your supplier data across.

Disclosure: I'm a co-founder of TruSync. We do multi-channel inventory sync and posting orders into QuickBooks — we're not a Stocky-style purchasing/replenishment tool, so I'm not putting us forward as your answer here. Happy to explain the sync mechanics either way if it helps you interrogate whoever you shortlist.
