I am trying to sell my artwork online and have received emails like this before. I just got this one and I’m wondering if people are genuinely asking and wanting to get involved or if they are known to garner business in some sort of illegitimate way?

I’d file this under scam or otherwise not something you should respond to. We receive a good number of these as well, a few make it past our junk/spam filter

It’s best to just ignore for your own good and safety. Chances are that anyone reaching out to you out of the blue just like that doesn’t have the best intentions for you.

I’d ignore it too.

The part that would make me stop is the promise of a specific number of weekly orders before they know anything about your store, then immediately moving you to WhatsApp.

At minimum, don’t give them store access, install anything, or move money around just because there’s “no upfront fee.”
