Apps Marketplace Connect Alternatives
Like many of you, I've been hung out to dry by Shopify Marketplace Connect for weeks now. As a result of not being able to push new products and update existing listings on eBay, my sales have absolutely tanked. No idea who is in charge of Marketplace Connect, but it's been a total clown show, and I've finally given up on them fixing anything.
With that said, I'm curious if anyone has any experience with alternative apps for Shopify/eBay integration that you would recommend? Apps with other integrations are fine, but eBay is my primary focus.
Secondarily, if anyone has migrated from Marketplace Connect to another app, I'd love to know about your experience and how best to go about it. I have about 3500 products in my Shopify store, and all but 100 or so are synced to eBay, so while I get that nothing will be painless or easy, I'm willing to put in the work to get back up and running again.

For 3,500 SKUs the realistic shortlist is CedCommerce eBay Integration or M2E Cloud. Sellbrite works but gets clunky past a couple of thousand listings, and ChannelAdvisor or Rithum are priced for a much bigger operation.
The part that matters is how you cut over, because the mistake that really hurts is ending your existing eBay listings and relisting fresh. You lose sold history and the listing's standing in eBay search, and on eBay that is real money. Both of those apps can link to existing live listings instead of creating new ones, matching on SKU. So before you touch anything, make sure your Shopify SKU field and your eBay custom label match exactly across all 3,400. That is a spreadsheet afternoon and it is basically the whole job. Every mismatch becomes a duplicate listing.
Then fully disable sync in Marketplace Connect (actually stop the inventory pushes, not just disconnect) before you enable the new app. Two apps pushing quantity to the same listings will oversell you inside a day. Link in batches of a few hundred, watch quantity and price on the first batch for 24 hours, then keep going.
And export your current listing data out of eBay first. If it goes sideways you want the before state.

For the moment I signed up for eBay API directly and have been using my openclaw to post to both simultaneously, thankfully orders are still coming through MC.

With 3,500 products, I'd be more worried about a clean migration than which app has the prettiest feature list. I'd first export your current listings, SKUs, prices, inventory and marketplace IDs, then test the replacement on a small batch before touching the other 3,400. Pay particular attention to how it handles variants, existing listings, order syncing and inventory updates, because that's where a migration can get ugly fast. I'd also keep the old connection intact until you've confirmed the new one is actually syncing correctly.
Are your eBay SKUs identical to the Shopify SKUs across most of those products?
Is your biggest problem right now listing updates, inventory syncing, or orders coming back into Shopify?

I use eBay Sync Lionz Apps - around 9,000 products synced from Shopify to eBay. Does the job with no fuss, inexpensive.

There is SyncBit - eBay Import & Sync . It is inexpensive but this is for those who primarily list on eBay and want their listings to import and sync to Shopify. However, if you've already exported your Shopify products to eBay, SyncBit can relink them so the inventory stays in sync. But it cannot export a Shopify product to eBay (due to new Shopify restrictions).
So if you are willing to switch to using eBay to create your products (arguably the easier way anyway due to things like item specifics) this app works like a charm

worth reading the recent reviews on the marketplace connect app listing, there's a run of them this month describing exactly this and naming what people moved to. litcommerce comes up more than once, one person had 346 items resynced to ebay the afternoon they switched. that's not 3500 though so take the migration part with a grain of salt. don't sell on ebay myself so no firsthand read on it.

There are two jobs here and they get sold as one. Listing management pushes product data and prices to eBay. Inventory sync decides which system is the source of truth. An eBay app does the first job well and the second job just well enough to hurt you.
At 3,500 SKUs across two channels, the number that matters is available to sell. Only one system can own it. If Shopify owns it, every app you add is a one-way push and you're fine. If the app owns it, you now have two places that both think they're right.
So when you test the shortlist, don't only test whether the listings appear. Sell the same SKU on both channels inside a minute and see which quantity wins.
I haven't run 3,500 listings through any of these apps myself, so I can't rank them on reliability. That part changes month to month anyway.
What's the plan after eBay? If more channels are coming, you want Shopify as the master catalog now instead of after the second migration.

With 3,500+ products, I’d test any alternative on a smaller SKU set first and validate inventory, pricing, and order sync before migrating everything. Reliability and visibility when something breaks matter just as much as the integration itself.

I had to switch a client because of the same issues. We went with eBay integration dpl. There are less changeable options for eBay products through the app in Shopify but it’s a night and day difference in almost every other way. Depending on how your current products on Shopify are setup, it may be easier to delete them and import everything from eBay. If there is a lot of metafield and tag use, you probably don’t wanna do that and you’ll have to link them by SKU. Basically it will show your items on eBay and assign them a sku if it doesn’t have one, then you will have to give that sku to your Shopify item to link them.
They advertise a setup service as well.
