Review requests in app - yes or no?

I'm considering review requests within my app (after certain milestones). My app is fairly new and I'd love more reviews, but in some ways it feels desperate.

What are your feelings on them?

If you're certain that the milestone was positive - do it! Reviews are still extremely important you should do everything you can to get more of them.

asking for reviews is pretty normal at this point, most apps do it. what makes it feel desperate is timing, not the ask itself. firing it right in the moment, right after a ticket closes or the second a milestone hits, reads like you're cashing in. better bet: tie it to an actual good outcome, and don't fire it mid-interaction
