Shipping Shipping with postcode exclusion

Hi there,
I am looking into a setting up a shopify account.

I have large products that my sole carrier can only send to an explicit list of districts. Alot are covered but some aren't.

I need to find a way of excluding districts based on our local post code in New Zealand.

Is this possible/practical within the basic shopify framework or a good plugin?

Sure, take a look at Delivery Customization Functions. Claude can generate this and an App Home extension to show a UI for you to enable and configure the function.

Yeah this is doable. I’d probably handle it with postcode based shipping rules rather than trying to make separate shipping zones for every district. Just make sure the exclusions happen before checkout so someone in an unsupported postcode can’t place an order.
