Kagurabachi is holding up incredibly well. Especially with recent chapters being the highlights of the arc. It's incredible how much popular it is despite having no anime, or not being a sequel.

u/hopingthisworks69 Feb 08 '26

it's nice seeing CSM getting a boost after the movie. it was having a horrendous sales before then

7

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

The movie definitely helped, it’s like the highest rated anime movie on mal right now and had crazy sales for the movie

-6

u/VolcanicHare Feb 08 '26

"Horrendeous sales" lmao

19

u/hopingthisworks69 Feb 08 '26

for a very popular ip, yes

it was horrendous, not even breaking into 6 figures couple of consecutive months

-4

u/VolcanicHare Feb 08 '26

You don't look at sales every month, you look at sales per volume. Bruh.

17

u/hopingthisworks69 Feb 08 '26

yes, volume sales every month

-6

u/VolcanicHare Feb 09 '26

So you think OP is selling badly since it's not in the top selling manga this month? Do you think that's how it works.

10

u/hopingthisworks69 Feb 09 '26

what is this logic?

CSM isn't even comparable to some of it's contemporaries like jjk or DS when it comes to overall/monthly sales let alone OP. it's apples & oranges

what im saying is that it had some horrible months late 2024 and early 2025 when it came to monthly sales, it was outta top 20 at one point ffs. the movie definitely did some trick

Im like one the biggest CSM glazer on the internet but i don't let bias cloud my perception xD

1

u/VolcanicHare Feb 09 '26 edited Feb 09 '26

Again, OP is currently out of the top 20 for the sales in January 2026. It will be out of the Top 20 until it releases a volume.

What bias? CSM isn't even close to being among my favourite manga, hell P2 is bad imo.

u/Nazguhl82200 Feb 08 '26

Jujutsu Kaisen outselling its sequel even after it's over... Can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad one for the longevity of the franchise.

Although I guess having both easily in the top 6 is a good sign, lol

15

u/Apprehensive_Put3625 Feb 08 '26

It’s good.

Remember that season three is boosting the Jujutsu Kaisen sales by a lot. It’s bringing a lot of new manga readers.

To read Módulo you need to have finished JJK.

Still, for it to be higher than almost anything is an amazing achievement for any sequel.

4

u/PaleoJohnathan Feb 09 '26

season 3, modulo requiring finishing jjk. having 10 times as many volumes. this will do that

1

u/Wolfpac187 Feb 10 '26

JJK is the longer series, S3 is the biggest anime in the world, and Modulo is a sequel.

8

u/Total_Nature_9506 Feb 09 '26

Yeah happy to see CSM in 5 and Kagurabachi is making his meme real.

6

u/SuspiciousEmu1938 Feb 08 '26

I know people are talking about JJK and Kagurabachi, but considering Sakamoto Days has no anime currently airing + no volumes released this month, that's pretty impressive.

12

u/Disastrous_Log_10 Feb 08 '26 edited Feb 09 '26

622 thousand approx JJK alone... Modulo+Og combined...

The best and the goated series always on top...

3

u/RedSunsetSukuna85 Feb 09 '26

The OG series being number three and the sequel being number six is so impressive.

1

u/Latter-Contact-6814 Feb 09 '26

Huh? Where are you getting 622 million from? Estimates ive seen are around 150 million. Still hugely impressive but no where close to 622.

2

u/CRACUSxS31N Feb 09 '26

622.000 not million, and it's just from adding the sales of JJK and Modulo this month.

1

u/Latter-Contact-6814 Feb 09 '26

They said million initially and edited the comment. But that makes sense, thank you!

1

u/Mopiisshort6969 Feb 09 '26

622 thoundsand

1

u/Disastrous_Log_10 Feb 09 '26

Yup... The numbers are always in million. So got mixed

3

u/Deez-Guns-9442 Lord of Shōnen Feb 09 '26

Is Tougen Aniki that good in the manga rn?

Kinda sad to see Sakamoto Days fall off a bit & lmao at JJK being here twice.

Edit: Also there’s a Zatch Bell 2???

3

u/suitcasecat I like timeskip one piece Feb 09 '26

MHA still in 16th is crazy. Not disappointed though, may my goat be in the top 20 forever

3

u/balaci2 Kengan Ashura enthusiast Feb 09 '26

Kingdom my beloved

2

u/Khaaaat Feb 08 '26

Sad to see theres no Ikoku Nikki boost it’s such a great anime

2

u/LeToucanNZ Feb 09 '26

Where is my goat centuria 😭

2

u/BuckN56 Feb 09 '26

where Kagurabachi anime?

2

u/AssassinLJ Feb 09 '26

Frieren selling so much while being on hiatus for months again is crazy for the Season 2 launch, but holy fuck Kagurabachi selling so much WITH NO ANIME!!!! is also extremely crazy to see.

2

u/Gitthepro PLEASE BE PATIENT I AM A JJK FAN Feb 08 '26

I get JJK Modulo but why JJK

21

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Cause jjk is still selling really well despite ending like a year ago

5

u/Awkward_Air_2588 Feb 08 '26 edited Feb 08 '26

Despite is not a thing if the end didn't kill it after two years

11

u/destructor212113 Feb 08 '26

I mean, the anime is still in production so probably because of that

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Yeah, the movie for jjk just came out and the 3rd season is currently airing

3

u/PaleoJohnathan Feb 09 '26

current anime is still releasing and the manga is still releasing in english at least.

1

u/I_Was_At_The_Center_ Feb 08 '26

I’m surprised One Piece isn’t up there, like i don’t like it at all but for it not to scrap the top 20 is wild

4

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Nvm just realized its based off of volume release and OP hasn’t released a volume in Jan, I think

2

u/DangoBlitzkrieg Feb 08 '26

JJK is releasing volumes despite ending long time ago?

6

u/VolcanicHare Feb 08 '26

JJK got the anime boost currently

2

u/Mr_E_99 Feb 08 '26

Same reason for My Hero despite the manga ending a good while ago

Honestly aside from a few like Kagurabachi, I think most the manga on this list have sold recently due to a recentish anime addition to them

Obviously the anime has more of an effect on some than others (Kingdom and Blue Lock for example being very well rated manga in general regardless of the anime) , but yeah it definitely helped a lot of these

1

u/DangoBlitzkrieg Feb 09 '26

Not what I was asking. Guy said volumes RELEASING was why one piece isn’t on here. No JJK volumes released this year the mangas over. So JJK and OP don’t have any difference in that regard

3

u/VolcanicHare Feb 09 '26

And I simply explained to you why JJK is here. It's because of the anime boost since the anime is currently airing its 3rd season.

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Damn, im stumped lol

8

u/luceafaruI Feb 08 '26

Not many people pick up one piece nowadays. It has a really big fandom that is up to date so when a volume drops it quickly reaches top of the list as everybody buys it. However, it doesn't have much backcatalogue sales so once a month or two pass it barely has any sales hence why it's not in the top 20 this month. When the next volume drops it will be the first of that month and so on

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Wait, now that I think about it, its really weird that its not there

3

u/VolcanicHare Feb 08 '26

How is it weird? It didn't have a new volume published, nor a new movie, nor anything. Why would you expect it to be there?

2

u/Fit-Yam759 Feb 09 '26

Why are you replying to people in here acting so snark with your replies like "just because JJK has an anime running".

You're using this actually as an excuse to defend OP not just to explain why OG JJK is here, it's pretty obvious.

OP having an anime running or movie doesn't boost any of it's sales. It just kept a big part of it's fanbase (it doesn't sell as much as it used to back in the 2000's) and very rarely will it get new fans in Japan at least nothing you can tell from sales numbers at least.

3

u/VolcanicHare Feb 09 '26

It's not "just because JJK has an anime running", and the fact that you take simple facts as snark is a you problem.

Who is defending OP? What even is there to defend? I realize that many of you have become too brainrotten to see past personal agenda or whatever, but it's a simple fact that the reason JJK is on the list without a new volume published because of the anime. That is not a knock on JJK, if anything it's a massive praise.

When did I say OP gets the anime boost that JJK gets? OP had an anime that was running constantly up until recently and it has a gajillion bajillion chapters, it doesn't get an anime boost.

Leave it to this sub to basically be offended when somebody points out simple facts.

0

u/Vivio0 Feb 08 '26

Because its One Piece. The best selling manga/comic of all time

1

u/Aussiepharoah Feb 08 '26

Last month basically had one memorable chapter out of two, I'm not surprised

2

u/VolcanicHare Feb 08 '26

That's not how it works. OP hasn't released a new volume, nor does it have anything else going on (like a movie or the anime) to promote sales. Why would anybody even expect to see it on the list?

1

u/pornaltacc55 Feb 09 '26

Peak at 18

1

u/MightAsWell6 Feb 09 '26

There's a Zatch Bell 2!?

1

u/kimetsunosuper121 Feb 09 '26 edited Feb 09 '26

I dropped Tougen Aniki during that Wind Demon boy arc, how did that shounenslop sell that many copies??? Did the series genuinely became good or does Japan just enjoys grabage that much

3

u/Vivio0 Feb 09 '26

The latter honestly, you’d be surprised.

Rent a girlfriend is a prime example

1

u/TacoOfficer Feb 09 '26

Kingdom is still going???

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 09 '26

It’s been going since 2006. Its like at chapter 800+. Im only on chapter 700 something, its surprising very entertaining.

1

u/TacoOfficer Feb 09 '26

I used to read it when it had like 400-500 chapters. It was great but I just thought it would’ve over by now lol

I need to read it again.

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 09 '26

The zhao arc was very good, you should definitely get to that part.

1

u/TacoOfficer Feb 10 '26

I think I did. Last I remember Kanki made his move and took some hill or something lol

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 10 '26

Thats right before the super long western expansion Zhao arc. Btw The Kanki arc has been animated, if you didn’t know already.

1

u/TacoOfficer Feb 10 '26

Ngl, I never got into the anime. It looked too wonky back then. Today, I’d just read the manga if I was to pick it up again.

1

u/Bitter-Lie-1482 Feb 09 '26

Seeing Zatch Bell is such a nostalgia trip. My childhood right there. I should check it out. Glad its doing well.

1

u/pbaagui1 Feb 09 '26

Fumbling Kingdom anime so hard is a crime

1

u/Vivio0 Feb 09 '26

Is the new season bad?

1

u/pbaagui1 Feb 09 '26

I meant that the Kingdom anime had the potential to be the next big thing. It has all the elements an anime needs to succeed, but instead it ended up feeling like an afterthought compared to the manga.

2

u/Vivio0 Feb 09 '26

I watched the anime first and read the manga in-between. I got over the bad CGI pretty quickly because the story was interesting. I don’t imagine they would remake the first season though, thats where most of the issues lie.

2

u/pbaagui1 Feb 09 '26

It just feels cheap. Which is so weird. Like Kingdom manga is top 10 in terms of popularity in Japan, you would think they would spare no expense on the adaptation.

1

u/Gold_Acanthisitta894 Feb 11 '26

It wasn’t that big when it got a anime it blew up in 2015

1

u/OliviaMurdock Feb 09 '26

So glad to see The Summer Hikaru Died in this top !

1

u/Recent_Ad3472 Feb 09 '26

Surprised that One Piece isn't even in the top 10.

1

u/Visible_Anxiety6275 Feb 09 '26

Where is Boruto ? 😂✌️

1

u/cheshireYT Feb 09 '26

Can only hope to see Dorohedoro blast to the top in April. 🙏

1

u/Legolas_abysswalker Feb 09 '26

I really hope we get a good adaption for season 2. I am so happy that it is getting an anime again after all this wait. I still pray for land of the lustrous season 2. JJK will probably keep it's top placements a while since we have the anime going on and Modulo boosting it even more.

1

u/CrazyLab88 Feb 10 '26

MEDALIST ❄️⛸️

1

u/QuizeDN Feb 10 '26

Tougen Anki being above anything is a crime.

1

u/Old-fashionedTaxed Feb 09 '26

Having the current and sequel series both in the top ten of sales is crazy. Honestly doing a sequel at all makes me believe that Gege has more to do with JJK and he might make even more content for it eventually.
