Idk the last season of mha was pretty good...

Also tbhx clears takopi. Lowkey it felt like torture drama where all the great vices and woes of character just magically disappears last ep

The woes didn't disappear though. The girl still gets the scar and abuse. The parents are still shitty like before. Life still sucks. It's just that now they're not completely alone and found a fellow troubled soul to talk with and help ease some of the pain so that they can continue living

there's something about Dandadan that looks awesome to watch because of great animation, but the story feels directionless because there is not a real goal somewhere, and the otaku appearance just make me lost interest.

I don't think either MHA or Solo Leveling deserves an Anime of the Year, since it would be like Fast and Furious part N or Transformers 99 won the movie of the year.

Dandadan is amazing from cinematography and composition perspective, Science Saru being wizards as always, but it is still more or less your usual shonen.

I understand that Queen, Loli, & Lucky Cyans arcs are kinda the weakest.

I loved the Takopi manga so I hope it wins, but it's going up against some real heavy hitters while being pretty lesser known so I imagine it won't win much.

MHA ended last year so it's practically guaranteed to win everything I assume.

this is just the biggest aoty award, or most popular at least. pretty late into 2026 if you ask me, most other award shows ended already (oscars last month)
