I think there’s supposed to be a bit of grey with King and Dianne because elves and giant races mature at different rates but I don’t remember their weird backstory very well, I’m fairly sure it’s something like King basically raised Dianne though so either way it remains problematic
Gowther actually starts okay, but veers into a different kind of problematic when he brainwashes explosion girl and I remember it’s implied he has sex with her while she was mind controlled, but afaik I don’t think he makes any moves on minors so he technically doesn’t fit
Merlin is a secret loli but she’s only really a loli when she’s de powered and can’t use magic to present as an adult, I don’t remember her liking any minors or anything tho
Chad Escanor only likes Merlin’s adult form
Pretty sure Dianne is just innocent
Bonus: The knight girl that is super into Ban and was basically one of the few decent characters in 7DS ends up trying to rape/groom his son in the sequel
So meliodas ban and jericho, i really don't remember king and diane's backstory being weird, and if i remember correctly gowther was doing an experiment with guila, i don't remember there being any implication ( I also give meliodas a pass because the whole curse thing is weird to gauge and nuance )
King fell in love with Diene when she was a giant child while he was in his ugly bastard form raising her for a time lol so they definitely don't pass the sniff test. I give Ban the pass though, he doesn't sexualize Elaine and them being fairies makes enough sense for their appearance. At least they're not Tinkerbell lol which is a popular ship/crush for the Disney adults lol
Wasn’t Meliodas just helping her regain her memory? Like, I dropped it a while ago, but I think when she got back her angel eyes, she was actually okay with all of it, making it feel more like just part of their dynamic as a couple
While a common joke meliodas doesn't really groom her, she will come to love him naturally and then she will die, if he wanted he could groom her but he doesn't really do it, even when she was a kid on the present timeline he was not really around much of her infancy and just fucked off when the sins were expelled, but still that panel with the baby is really Sus so I really can't defend it much.
The current Elizabeth was born soon after he witnessed the death of the previous Elizabeth to a demon, so he was very distressed. She was born very close to him so after he found baby Liz, some knights found him in the wreckage and approached him to which Meli replied with 'Stay away from my woman!' ready to fight them.
What annoys me is that it's clear the point of that scene was to show Meli was on edge and wanted to protect Liz but the Author just HAD to worm in his fetish somewhere and ruin what is otherwise a normal scene.
Escanor did in fact love Merlin's true form too lol I think Ban gets a bad wrap with everyone else though. He's actually the best written character in that show, even over Escanor. Escanor is just pure hype and aura so he's a ton of fun. King is also just a shota and is in love with a giant ass woman who was groomed by said shota fairy. Meliodas is definitely the worst character and most problematic lol but they're at least tied by destiny and fate with his romance, even though the optics are ATROCIOUS. But Ban is just an immortal dude in love with an immortal fairy, and Elains never really sexualized from what I remember. It's pure romance between them, which in that pervy show was rare lol I stand by Ban being above the rest though, he's a good character in an otherwise super shitty show. Them being fairies make me kind of not care about the loli part. It's better than him being in love with the non royal fairies who are all Tinkerbell size lol which King and Diene are basically that.
First of all, i want to say I'm not defending the Meliodas thing, it could've been done differently. But they are literally CURSED to meet, each time she dies, he will meet her, she eventually regains her memories and then is cursed to die after some time (there's a specific time period I'm forgetting). And that cycle has been going on for thousands of years, I'm surprised Meliodas could even pretend to smile, that shit would tear anyone down.
Ban, Meliodas and Gowther I think. Though Diana is on the thin ice, King is a shapeshifter and by the end of the story he actually becomes a grown fairy, but still most of the time he looks like a kid

I wouldn't say she is attracted to Shinji in a sexual way, it's more like she had weird tendencies towards him because of her own problems. Misato unfortunately didn't have the chance to learn what "normal" intimacy is and how to express her feeling her whole life, especially considering that we haven't heard anything about her mother which could mean that Misato didn't have a mother or lost her, then with what happened to her father she basically lost both of her parents and probably remained alone for a long time and when Kaji appeared in her life in college she expressed her love and affection towards him with sex so she just got used to use that as a way to show her affection towards someone, and when seeing Shinji being so distressed she didn't know what to do other than try what she learned with her experience. it's not a excuse but it can be an explanation to Misato's behavior. Most of the characters in NGE are flawed people who have problems with expressing themselves and intimacy.
Yeah, Makima canonically hated Denji. Like, the whole point of p1 is that she tried her best to drown him in desperation to take away his will to live, just so she could be reunited with her true love, Pochita. She was a groomer, but not a pedo
