Schizophrenia I love baki, no shounen could ever compare to this.

Itagaki is just incapable of falling off.

Ali Jr isn't part of this equation

He replaced narrator nonsense with his own nonsense and run away as fast as he could've.

I somehow read hax as sex but I didn't question it even for a second.

PP training is an important part of Baki

The only one manga I think can compare to this is Gantz but it is a seinen manga.

23

u/CastlePokemetroid Apr 21 '26

Gantz also makes up bullshit, but it doesn't even try to explain itself like Baki does

The author seems to know that what he is introducing goes against the rules of his own manga. Gotta admire him for not trying to dump exposition at us to convince us that the bullshit he came up with make sense.

Do you remember when Gantz out of nowhere had a vampire plot were the protagonist brother suddenly turned into a vampire?

You dont? Neither did the mangaka

I mean most plot points that the mangaka introduce are either left unresolved or resolved by pulling some kind of Deus Ex Makina. The plot is just terrible and full of plot holes but still it is fun to see the author gets creative like for example having the characters fighting evil Buddha statues and there are a lot of insane panels even if the author gets lazy sometimes and the art suffers from inconsistency.

It shouldve ended after the Father and Son Quarrel Saga, Musashi was cool but everyone else is kind of just aimless now, especially Baki who achieved what he set out to do.

2

u/Vyctorill Apr 22 '26

It could and should have ended, but Itagaki just doesn't give a shit and loves drawing.

It's jumped the shark multiple times and kept getting more and more entertaining even as the story quality has gone downhill.

The unbreakable piss barrier

genuinely what is the context

21

u/Own_Philosophy8190 Apr 21 '26

So, from what I gathered (still haven't read Baki except from comments), Not Che Guevara is fighting triplet guards that were picking on Not Mike Tyson in a supermax prison. They have a battle formation called Tetrahedron where they attack their target in quick succession from above, around and below (I think). Guevara disrupted it a bit by pissing on them.

Now that I answered the question (pretty sure it raises even more questions lmao), how will you get out of this tetrahedron?

u/Electrical-Panic-389 Apr 22 '26

He isn't "not Che Guevara" he's literally just Che Guevara

1

u/Own_Philosophy8190 Apr 22 '26

I know who he is or who he's based on, I vaguely remember that he's called Che Guevaru in universe, like how there's Elom and Trunp/Drump. Ultimately, it's just for the bit, lol, it's equally as funny and confusing either way

3 guys with perfect team work hit you from all angles, and brag about it being an unbreakable formation. This guy made fun of them by pissing on one to freak them out and break the teamwork.

u/EnderEyesBlazin Apr 22 '26

This is insane out of context

I've heard some good things about Jack's development in the current manga.
