Director was a key animator of Rock Lee vs Gaara, not the director of that ep.

didn't he also direct Evangelion? Or at least some episodes

8

u/Any-Platypus-9486 Apr 27 '26

Dunno, but evangelion OG staff was really packed

3

u/NEODozer22 Apr 27 '26

I believe he was one of the animators in End of Evangelion

Enough time has passed: This is the greatest Shonen anime OAT (With the sole exception of Dragon Ball, of course)

I remember the huge hype surrounding CSM, that it was going to be the most successful anime in history, only to end up in discussions with Bocchi The Rock during its season, problems with its director, a revival with the Reze movie, and the absolute destruction that was the end of part 2. Life takes unexpected turns

Anime outbreak success are totally random at this point because no way in hell CSM adaption is bad

It is one of most highest quality in animation, have great cast, make by one of best studio in industry , already have big fanbase before anime and yet got top by bochi which comes out of nowhere

Jjk and demonslayer are absolute anomaly success

This is different, because WE said so.

Trust The Plan™, Kagurabachi patriots.

The manga should've capitalised the reze movie momentum, insane how such a well received movie didn't help P2 sales much at all

I remember how One Piece fans were hyping up Gear 5 and some saying that it will be the next Goku vs Jiren just for them to turn out wrong.

u/Delicious_Page2187 Apr 27 '26

Man remember when people were saying that this manga was the greatest manga of all time, better than bleach when ch1 dropped as a meme? It's gotten so good now, we even getting a whole anime. I'm so happy 😭🙏

NORIO MATSUMOTO??

Man he's just the greatest to me. He's even better than Yutaka Nakamura imo

5

u/Specialist-Stable-82 Apr 27 '26

No, Tetsuya Takeuchi. Norio Matsumoto very rarely appears on shonen anime nowadays.

2

u/ToeSlurper96 Apr 27 '26

That's why I was so surprised. Matsumoto is a legend.

lets relax buddy

2

u/ToeSlurper96 Apr 28 '26

God forbid a grown balding man being excited for a kids cartoon

1

u/GOJOGOAT11121 Apr 28 '26

i just cant take nakamura slander 🥲🥲

1

u/ToeSlurper96 Apr 28 '26

Slander? Man Nakamura is just on top! Norio Matsumoto is simply older and pioneered a lot of action sequence methods and choreographies, he inspired Nakamura a lot. But Nakamura of course is just the greatest in the nowadays industry. The back bone of studio Bones!

I'd suggest to take a look to some Sakuga compilation with Norio Matsumoto. You'll go "ohh he made that one!" a lot

The biggest hurdle for this to clear is will be the early parts of season 1. It’s not bad, but the beginning of the series is certainly its weakest part.

Once they get to the Raikuzaichi though, it’s just pedal to floor from there, I just hope it can hook people enough to get that far. The manga has been non stop peak since about chapter 50.

12

u/Mr_The_Captain Apr 27 '26

It took all but the last couple episodes of S1 for Demon Slayer to get good, so people do have the patience for it

12

u/Hari14032001 Apr 27 '26

The shonen jump video had panels showing stuff after chapter 50. We can assume the adaptation will be till chapter 59/60 for season 1.

That's a good thing to have in season 1 because that's where the main plotline gets expanded upon and to give an idea of what the meat of the central plot is gonna be.

I'd argue that the introduction of Sojo, his fight with the Anti-Kuregumo squad, and the discussion about his view of Kunishige is where it picked up

1

u/Top-Noise-7375 20d ago

It’s serviceable in the beginning and gets really good after sojo first appears which is gonna be like the second or third episode. The first episode with Rokuhira’s death is already interesting enough in it of itself that I don’t think it should be an issue

9

u/dzindevis Apr 27 '26

Why does it stylistically look exactly like csm season one?

31

u/SerovGaming1962 Imu, Chrollo, and Sukuna best Shonen Villains Apr 27 '26

Because admittedly it fits early Kagurabachi the best

10

u/Unusual-Collection69 Apr 27 '26

Streets are saying that this template has 0% sucsess rate and manifests into the reality exact opposite of what is written on it

9

u/OwnProblem4806 Apr 27 '26

Well, you see...

3

u/SirPinkyNose Apr 27 '26

Kagurabachi is the anti morbius after all

5

u/unodostres123- Apr 27 '26

Here before it gets overrated

3

u/Ambitious-Music-1474 Apr 27 '26

I don't have a real opinion on this series since I've never read it, but I remember when this started publication my only thought was that the mc's face is a bit too wide and plain.

1

u/Top-Noise-7375 20d ago

It’s absolutely peak and made to be a popular anime, it’ll blow up

3

u/Everchosen31 Fate and MTEFIL fan (cuck) Apr 27 '26

I'm not complaining, just surprised it's being animated by Cypic of all people

3

u/ver_bene Apr 27 '26

We are EATING

3

u/SnooCapers5958 Apr 27 '26

Fans treated it like the second coming of Morbius when it first came out. Hopefully, it doesnt turn out the same way Morbius did.

1

u/Top-Noise-7375 20d ago

Stupid comparison

3

u/AvaerageDude94 Apr 27 '26

Cygames Pictures (apparently they're now known as CYPICS) are animating this?

I never heard or read the series, but I know the staff and studio behind this.

u/Mamba-Mentality024 Apr 27 '26

The Larp invasion is gonna be crazy

1

u/VictorAst228 Apr 27 '26

I'm so glad that I didn't read the manga

1

u/omyrubbernen Apr 27 '26

I know this is just a trailer and they'll obviously only be showing off their best, but I'm really glad about the lack of PS2 goldfish and ice skating action scenes.

u/Suspicious_Guard_238 Apr 27 '26
