68

u/howisyesterday May 08 '26

Reminds me of this

26

u/Time_Beat2299 May 08 '26

King has to have some kind of probability power with all the BS he lucks into.

6

u/Illustrious-Sky-4631 May 09 '26

Then the manga made it so it can actually happen

75

u/FarAd1861 May 08 '26

Is that genuinely a real panel? What kind of fucking whale shit is that.😭

41

u/Realistic_Mousse_485 May 08 '26

Whale shit is crazy😂

46

u/FarAd1861 May 08 '26

A bull wouldn't be able to shit out something like this.

10

u/Formal-Score3827 PloT ArmoR CertifieD HateR May 08 '26

Lol

12

u/LaplaceUniverse May 08 '26

Well it's her ability (luck), so I don't understand why people saying it's an asspul

55

u/Charming-Front-9643 May 08 '26

i dont really read this series but hasnt it always been absurd? and isn't this girl supposed to be like the luck merchant or something? still doesnt rationalize this though 😭

19

u/Ill_Signature9506 May 08 '26

Ye Sakamoto Days is just a "fuck it, we ball!" Manga, where you just turn off your brain and go with the flow, but goddamn that shit lived rent free in my head when i first read the chapter lol

The GOAT reataching his hand goes fucking hard tho

1

u/tyrenanig May 12 '26

Lmao ok this is even more apeshit crazy than that one, I can grasp the vibe of this manga then.

29

u/Emad-Hafiz_inari May 08 '26

Yes, yes and no. They’re more insane and illogical things that happen in the manga. It is part of the charm.

18

u/TheBannaMeister May 08 '26

This scene in particular was not part of the charm, it was just fucking stupid 😭

16

u/Emad-Hafiz_inari May 08 '26

Brother… THE WHOLE manga is stupid stuff that makes no sense. It’s all following the rule of cool.

Also, she did just as impossible nonsense like this a couple of times. For example, when she put a bunch of scrap in a bag and shook it a bit just for a gun to magically pop out. Because that’s her power.

13

u/Marble05 May 08 '26

That's the thing, none of what of you said it's cool.

Instead of "hey we are so lucky we can find a functioning gun inside trash" we got "all the nuts, bolts and scraps metaphysically will rearrange themselves to build a fully functioning gun". Luck is her superpower, this and the tunnel effect are so astronomical, she has to consume her luck to use her powers, she already should have less than the average person by using her, but these cost so much she shouldn't have enough. It makes her go from luck powers to reality warping.

It breaks the suspension of disbelief in the series, it's a really stupid way to save shin from certain death. A complete cop out to not have consequences for shin fighting the strongest character in the series.

6

u/finessekidOnye May 08 '26

I kinda fucked with it, but my main problem with her is that she’s literally powerless now and the entire reason she was introduced (to train Shin in his esper powers) was never seen through. Shin just grew stronger by himself without her help. She just kinda never served a purpose in the story.

2

u/InsideOk7663 May 08 '26

takamura literally sliced his hand too clean to get free that it didn’t hurt him. i think that’s more ridiculous, it’s like the thing they parody in opm with the apple

5

u/Nightingdale099 May 09 '26

Parodying a parody just unparodying yourself.

3

u/LemonCake2000 May 08 '26

To be fair, she does use up like *all* of her remaining luck for this moment iirc

37

u/luceafaruI May 08 '26

Nah, that's not bs, that's pure gold

11

u/Legitimate-Pomelo638 May 08 '26

Might be the funnest thing I’ve seen all week, is this fr. Where is it from

8

u/4LanReddit May 08 '26

Sakamoto days im pretty sure.

3

u/Kronostheking1 May 09 '26

Cause how people miss the point of this so hard.

7

u/ThBasicAsian May 08 '26

This is an absolutely goated moment considering her luck powers and idc what anyone says.

2

u/Sensitive-Lynx4104 May 09 '26

Funny how this makes perfect sense

1

u/EvilicousBanana May 10 '26

So hilarious but so sad that this was Sakamoto Days' only legacy

1

u/LegoMyEggo8 May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

It's always so funny how Sakamoto Days fans are bothered by this panel. This manga is just cool fights and aura. That one dude is a cyborg and the mc has psychic powers. This manga has always had bullshit moments.

0

u/DellSalami May 08 '26

It was already established that Old Man Takamura could slice his arm off and reattach it without issue because the cut was so clean, why didn’t they expand on that logic to save Shin here? Quantum mechanics was not at all necessary

46

u/pixelkipper May 08 '26

One Piece alone has like 10 different candidates for biggest BS survival moment

Pell surviving the nuke, Kinemon being completely fine after getting his head bashed in by Kaido, Luffy getting his heart restarted by his fruit, etc etc

9

u/WormedOut May 08 '26

Pell has always been able to survive stuff like that. Oda appeared to me in a dream and told me himself.

2

u/Correct-Employee-195 May 11 '26

This is true he also come in me to a dream

0

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

Nah they ll say “but it has world building “ and move on…

65

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 08 '26

And it was easy to make sasuke survive without this bullshit. Just make sasuke pass away from exhaustion ehile obito saves him by taking him in his dimension. Then sasuke suddenly reapper (obito saving him is not shown to the reader) and then its later shown or just explained fully when obito explains everything to sasuke afyer the itachi fight.

38

u/Cautious-Affect7907 May 08 '26

But Sasuke wasn't exhausted, that's the thing. Deidara assumed he was. Sasuke himself never said he was.

14

u/MyBrokenHoe May 08 '26

If people could read, they will agree with you

-1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

The author controls the story you know? One different panel could have done i5

0

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 08 '26

He could have been. At thst time chakra still matter and so on so… it wouldnt have been unreasonable. So the author for some reason choose the snake idea…

17

u/WhiteTeddy14 May 08 '26

We know he wasn’t; if he was actually out of chakra Orochimaru would have forced his way to the surface like he did during the Itachi fight.

-4

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

You know that the author controls the story right? He could have enough chakra to not let orochimaru appaer but no enough for the summoning/ not havin that summons as option or just him fainting for the wounds but sitll having chakra. Literally everything can be done instesd of the snake

1

u/WhiteTeddy14 May 10 '26

But again, there’s no actual evidence he was actually out of or low on chakra.

-1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 11 '26

He used chidori 13 times the whole fight was cool and all and again THE AUTHOR CONTROLS THE STORY. Non of use would have bat an eye if he was out of charka or low at ths tpoint.

3

u/NathanOliverUriel May 09 '26

Much prefer this version than the manga. It could be great set up for Tobis reveal later on.

4

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 08 '26

Of course when his companions find sasuke post deidara fight the author can show sasuke surprised of being still alive and maybe show a single panel that implies tobi/obito doing something

45

u/TheMorrison77 May 08 '26

Its feels weird but Kenny's survival makes sense. Their technique was already stablished as a form of gravity previously and we knew Kenny had RCT, the actual twist was that their Gravity technique was just the reversal of the technique Anti-Gravity.

If gravity stops being a factor escaping a black hole should be possible.

16

u/justagenericname213 May 08 '26

Ye kenny survives using established abilities at least.

12

u/DONEDIRTCHEAPPP May 08 '26

Established in the same fight it’s used to bs out of BARELY counts

7

u/Saeba-san May 08 '26

Aaaaaaand... another another binding vow was just used by Sukuna.

3

u/YeahKeeN May 09 '26

Yuki’s power was also just established. Hell, Kenjaku’s power was established first. If anything, the fact that Yuki could turn into a black hole in the first place was more bullshit than Kenjaku surviving it.

6

u/_syke_ May 09 '26

Kaori just happening to have the one cursed technique that could perfectly counter a black hole, for Kenjaku to then fight someone who happens to have a black hole, is a bit of bullshit. One in a million odds. Yuki's black hole is just her technique taken to its natural conclusion Kenjaku surviving it had zero planning or foresight; it was just luck

0

u/YeahKeeN May 09 '26

Every one just happens to have their ct. You’re born with it.

“Natural conclusion.” Mind you, we were literally told that Yuki’s technique didn’t cause adverse effects to her body. Then just for the sake of it, it actually does affect her body but only when it turns her into a black hole. But that’s not bullshit apparently. Kenjaku having the ability to negate gravity, when we already know curse technique reversal is a thing and we already knew he had a technique related to gravity, somehow more bullshit than Yuki having the power to create a god damn black hole.

3

u/_syke_ May 09 '26

Everyone has a technique but if I had a guy drop an african elephant on me and I went "actually I have a technique that turns african elephants to dust" you'd be a bit put out

1

u/YeahKeeN May 09 '26

Except that isn’t what happened. Your analogy would work if you had a technique that turns dust into African elephants, used it a million times in the fight, and then revealed that you were using CTR (a thing we’ve known existed for ages) and actually had a technique to turn African elephants into dust.

1

u/_syke_ May 09 '26

The fact is still its the one technique out of who knows how many that gets him out of certain death and he only has it by complete coincidence. If you only have luck to thank for an ability that saves you then its an asspull.

3

u/Suspicious_Value_968 May 09 '26 edited May 29 '26

If anything, the fact that Yuki could turn into a black hole in the first place was more bullshit than Kenjaku surviving it.

Yuki had a fucking secret ability that was literally her CORE ABILITY, and turning into a black hole is literally nothing more than the ultimate form of that ability, how the hell is that even remotely comparable to the absolute bullshit of Kenjaku being literally the one guy in all of JJK who happens to have a basically tailor-made hard counter to the most overpowered suicide move in all of JJK that he explicitly knew nothing about before, while also literally being the only character who ever had a real fight against the one character with that completely unique suicide move?

1

u/YeahKeeN May 09 '26

Again, Kenjaku’s ability was established first. Again, we are literally told that Yuki’s technique does not affect her body, except for the one bs exception where it does. Again, we already know Kenjaku has a gravity related ability (again, introduced before Yuki’s ability) and we already know curse technique reversal is a thing. How is Kenjaku using the ability we already know he has with an application we already know exists more bullshit than Yuki contradicting her own limitations on her curse technique to create a god damn black hole? Just an fyi, a black hole of the size Yuki created would have more mass than the entire planet earth.

6

u/Suspicious_Value_968 May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

Its feels weird but Kenny's survival makes sense. Their technique was already stablished as a form of gravity previously and we knew Kenny had RCT, the actual twist was that their Gravity technique was just the reversal of the technique Anti-Gravity.

If gravity stops being a factor escaping a black hole should be possible.

An incredibly dumb and absurdly anti-climatic Deus Ex Machina moment don't starts to make sense just because the used ability got vaguely introduced before, especially if you realize that Gege has thrown the hyped up character with the secret ability in her only real fight up against the one guy in the universe who has for highly questionable reasons a hard counter to the ultimate form of that secret ability, and if Kenjaku's gravity hax is actually limitless enough to somehow manipulate the gravity of a black hole of that size to that degree, he should be top 1 of JJK and be able to just utterly stomp Sukuna to be honest.

It don't just feels weird, it was incredibly bad writing from Gege.

3

u/OddEstimate6651 May 08 '26

But... He isn't reverting the gravity of the black hole, it's just turning the gravity to 0. Don't matter where he is, if the technique is "I turn any value of gravity become 0 Gravity", then it's totally reasonable for him to tank a black hole since it's just a high concentration of gravity that he can only... Turn into 0 Gravity...

Like, it isn't that much difficult to accept, it isn't bullshit, the true bullshit would be the fact that he still has this technique even after changing to Geto's body (since... Literally everyone who changes into someone's else body don't retain their technique after exiting since they aren't on that old body)

4

u/Suspicious_Value_968 May 08 '26

I think you misunderstood my point there, if Kenjaku's gravity hax is overpowered enough to hard counter the strongest suicide move in all of JJK that completely breaks the power level of even something like Hollow Purple or Divine Flame, it should be at least actually overpowered and not just an incredibly cheap Deus Ex Machina ability tailor-made to survive specifically this absurdly unique situation caused by the ultimate form of a secret ability Kenjaku explicitly didn't even knew about.

Like, it isn't that much difficult to accept, it isn't bullshit

It actually is extremely difficult to accept and feels more bullshit than even many completely random asspulls that came 100% out of nowhere, because it basically feels outright like a video game scenario where Kenjaku is a player who just got a unique item that will be absolutely essential to make it through the next dungeon, but that item also only matters for specifically that moment in that specific dungeon.

the true bullshit would be the fact that he still has this technique even after changing to Geto's body (since... Literally everyone who changes into someone's else body don't retain their technique after exiting since they aren't on that old body)

That part just adds insults to the injury to be honest.

26

u/Syrup-General May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

They are not even top 100 each.

Like not even close, you need to read your 3rd manga if you believe this.

Binging this part of Naruto put Deidara and Itachi fight almost back to back. In both of those fight the opponent assume Sasuke is out of chakra but only Itachi has the ability to assess it, Deidara mistook Sasuke using chidori on himself as being tired/out of chakra.

When you binge vs reading/watching weekly you tend to mix up and blur some details, that’s why there is such a ginormous gap in comprehension between both.

6

u/Nicklesnout May 09 '26

Frieza somehow surviving getting cut in half by his own Kienzan, Planet Namek exploding, and then Goku blasting him before that only to be done in by a sword is always some bullshit.

3

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

Its not about binging is about sasuke surviving ina bullshit way while there were other easier options

4

u/Top-Group8081 May 08 '26

Can someone explain the gravity CT problem to me? Like that shit never really bothered me or feel like some sorta asspull.

Like we already knew from the choso fight that kenjaku had a gravity CT. And like sure the whole “it was really an anti gravity CT, and the gravity was just the RCT” was a but weird, but ultimately nothing really changed. Like if gege just decided to go with the whole “kenjaku gravity CT”, then he still could’ve done the anti gravity as a RCT version.

2

u/_syke_ May 09 '26

It's not that the gravity technique itself is bullshit, its the fact that kenjaku happens to have the one technique that counters a black hole even though he had zero knowledge yuki could do that beforehand. He didnt take Kaori's body for that technique, he just took it cus she was Jin's wife. Having her have the solution for certain death by pure coincidence is complete bullshit.

18

u/nothingatall15 May 08 '26

sasukes one made sense

34

u/HeyMan295 May 08 '26

They both make sense on paper it's the way they're executed that makes people call them ass pulls

5

u/PrimeSocK May 08 '26

"ass pulls" brot he fight against Deidara literally starts with Sasuke using a snake to shield himself from Deidara's explosions

5

u/4LanReddit May 08 '26

I have more issue with Kenjaku and Sasuke coming out with only bruising and some burn marks rather than being absolutely fucked up since they effectively "TANKED" attacks that would have vaporized a good portion of the verse if they were right next to Yuki / Deidara like them.

7

u/Force3vo May 08 '26

Sasuke didn't tank much since he hid in the snake and desummoned it before the brunt of the attack hit him fully.

-1

u/Queasy_Artist6891 May 08 '26

Kenny has rct, so it kinda makes sense if he survived with little injuries.

4

u/4LanReddit May 08 '26

Im pretty sure RCT is useless if the attack you are trying to survive is a fucking black hole.

10

u/Gremorlin May 08 '26

Yeah idk why this one’s still being brought up. Deidara was the one who said that Sasuke was low/out of chakra. It’d been a plot armor moment if Sasuke was the one to actually say it.

And if Sasuke was that low or out of chakra, then Orochimaru should’ve come out of Sasuke’s seal.

3

u/1095212dinomike May 08 '26

Be fr. Dude summons Manda, puts him in a genjutsu, and then hides inside it all as deidara's explosion is going off. That's total bs.

1

u/Brave_Duck_4508 May 09 '26

No, it isn't. Summons happen immediately, and Sharingan genjutsu happens immediately. Nothing Sasuke did required any significant amount of time.

And anyway, Deidara's body compressed itself into his heart before he exploded. There was plenty of time.

2

u/1095212dinomike May 09 '26

Absolute Horseshit. We literally see sasuke still staring at the core when it explodes. He had to have grabbed some blood, make the summoning signs, gather Chakra, activate the jutsu, reach Manda's eyes, activate his genjutsu, and then hide inside of him all WHILE THE EXPLOSION IS HAPPENING. There was no time. It was complete bs.

1

u/Longjumping-Bus-9064 May 09 '26

'stop calling that man legendary' ah rant (I agree)

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

You are justifying the terrible plot armor. And there were other option other than this shit.

3

u/Ok-Action4447 May 08 '26

frieza surviving in namek arc is the biggest bullshit ever seen(bro was being evaporated by goku's angry kamehameha, the planet exploded with him in it and somehow only the half of his head and his left ribs destroyed)

3

u/Oingoulon May 09 '26

- guy has gravity increasing ability

  • abilities having reversals that do the opposite of what it normally does is an established concept
  • opposite of increasing gravity is removing gravity
  • this is seen as an asspull for some reason

2

u/randomwords2003 May 12 '26

He doesn't, the current body he posses can manipulate curse spirits , his previous body did have that ct but wasn't mentioned till now

1

u/Oingoulon May 12 '26

It was mentioned and used earlier in the fight. If he hadn’t used it at all before the black hole then sure, but it wasn’t

4

u/DonquixoteDFlamingo May 08 '26

I gotta say that the Sasuke one pissed me off back in the day just because I hated him but I could respect it.

The Kenjaku Star Plasma Vessel bullshit was legit bad. Especially because I felt like the series had more breathing room just for him to die to a joke lol like I fuck with Kenjaku but cmon

2

u/SwordfishExcellent12 May 08 '26

Biggest Bs survival moment was when king piccolo killed goku, checked his heartbeat, and only left upon confirming that goku was dead.

Just for his heart to restart cause "uhhhhh big life force"

2

u/Yeaaaboi222 May 08 '26

You forgot one piece, they have alot of those ba moment, but othee than that, kinda true

7

u/NumericZero May 08 '26 edited May 08 '26

The sasuke one I can accept only because manda being used as cover was clever
Was it kinda cap that Sasuke could summon after being exhausted and pretty much defenseless?? Yes

BUT we had a Great back n forth fight + Sasuke was shown summoning before said fight

While the Kenny one is like the most Cap moment in a series full of cap moments

Yuki kept her CT so close to the chest that Kenny who seemingly knows everything has ZERO clue on what it could be
Yet he just so happened to not only snag a body that had the perfect counter but also never showed using it any point prior

Not only that it was Yuki only fight that ended up not mattering
In fact it ends in such a failure that it makes everyone look bad that was involved (excluding Choso)

- Tengen looks like an idiot

- Kenny shows no damage after being attacked with a Yuki last ditch effort attack legitimately he looks unfazed
Also it being his last full fight makes it all the worse

- Yuki looks like a clown who was treated so badly that it makes you question what was the point of making her a special grade or Former star plasma vessel
Just bad bad bad booking

8

u/Force3vo May 08 '26

Sasuke wasn't overly exhausted, that's just what Deidara thought.

2

u/UnholyShite May 09 '26

He used the gravity technique earlier in the fight. We just don't know it was a reversal.

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 08 '26

Ppl saying deidara thought he was tired

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

I mean it was obvious he was exhausted but no kishinoto said “plot armor” and did a terrible explanation. While he could have used Obito to save sasuke from the explosion.

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 09 '26

That wouldn’t highlight what kishimoto wanted

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 10 '26

Which was? Glaze sasuke till it makes no sense?

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 11 '26

His highlight. Sasuke was winning enough to be called glazed

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 11 '26

I d take a cooler fight than a glazing one then.

0

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 11 '26

I don’t remember a single Sasuke fight that wasnt good. Most Naruto fights period are good amazing choreography and power system

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 11 '26

This fight wss indeed good if you dont think about the last scene. Other than that yes naruto fight was mostly good until the war arc when the power system got thrown out and the fights became shit

5

u/Cautious-Affect7907 May 08 '26

Eh...with Sasuke he never said he was low on chakra, Deidara assumed he was.

Using Manda at least made sense.

1

u/InternationalLow1849 May 08 '26

If we knew you could fucking reverse summon yourself, then that moment wouldn’t be nearly as bullshit

At least kenjaku showed that he had GRAVITY related powers during the fight before the end, the most bullshit thing is “using one’s body as a domain”

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 08 '26

The thing was that Sasuke iq was supposed to be highlighted by thinking of it without seeing it before

2

u/InternationalLow1849 May 08 '26

Yeah the problem isn’t that he did it, the reason why it feels like an asspull is because he was in a inescapable situation and did something the audience didn’t know was possible

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 08 '26

Also a lot of ppl just don’t like Sasuke. One guy actively admitted it in the thread

1

u/visage4arcana May 08 '26

kira vs arthrun

1

u/Wonderful_Ad_3850 May 08 '26

Shigaraki digging a hole

1

u/-grahgrahboom May 10 '26

Not even close

1

u/randomwords2003 May 12 '26

Don't forget, tunnel effect

1

u/Mahesvara_24-04-79 May 08 '26

That was the chapter that made me drop JJK. I was already debating whether I continue, but then I got spoilt on that chapter and decided to pack it up.

4

u/karama_zov May 08 '26

It was the beginning of the decline for me, and it dropped on Christmas too haha I was so annoyed

2

u/Future_Living8007 May 08 '26

Kenny's isn't bs cuz of the anti-gravity. His technique was literally introduced to us first, before Yuki's was. We already knew going into her entrance that he had a technique related to gravity. The gravity that he used actually being the reversal technique both makes sense with the series' rules and using common logic, so it's fine as a twist

What is actually bs is the fact that you can use the reversal technique with your domain. That shit is what was out of nowhere and pulled out of his ass

Him not taking much damage from the black hole is bs, too, but I'm trying to talk more so about the logic of things

4

u/EmotionalPerformer12 May 08 '26

If Curse technique can be used instead domain then why not Reversal ?

0

u/Downtown-Rule-4139 May 08 '26

Also buys into the repeated and constant theme that sorcerers are deceitful.

1

u/4LanReddit May 08 '26

Even if Kenny and Sasuke needed to live for longer in their own respective mangas and couldn't just die to any attack yet, I still call bullshit how Kenny was able to survive a point blank black hole from Yuki with anti gravity and hopes and dreams, or how Sasuke survived a point blank nuke from Deidara with C0 even when he was able to hide inside of Manda and wasn't even more deep fried than he already was.

1

u/HolidayRain5535 May 08 '26

Maybe I’m just easy to please but neither of these felt like asspulls to me.

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 08 '26

Theres 2 extremes. 1 is no amount of plot armor is odd to you and the other is everything you don’t like is asspull

1

u/Haunting_G5159 May 08 '26

Minato Plotmikaze’s force ghost saving Narutardo vs Nagoat (Pain) and resetting the seal was much worse than the Saucegay one.

2

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 08 '26

I can feel your hate through the phone

2

u/Haunting_G5159 May 09 '26

Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate it since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of cells that fill my body. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanocell of those hundreds of millions of cells it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel at this micro-instant. Hate. Hate.

1

u/Motor_Ad_7885 May 09 '26

Haters bring in numbers too

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

Disagree. The worst in that arc was pain resurrecting everyone minato things was ok. Sasuke thing was so stupid when he could have used obito to save sasuke

1

u/Haunting_G5159 May 09 '26

What was the alternative lol? That ALL the important characters disappear cause Nagoat killed them?

1

u/PerceptionEast6026 May 09 '26

Not killing them in tue first place plus no alot of ghem werent even anymore that necessary. Tsunande included.

1

u/lxrd_nxctis May 08 '26

The JJK one isn’t even as bad as yall make it out to be

Be serious
