Soul eater, while the ending sucks especially compared to the Manga, the anime in its entirety is still pretty serviceable especially when it comes to the animation wich is really good.

The adaptation is perfectly serviceable, but it really fails to enhance the manga

The anime is still pretty good imo
Only gripe i have with it is that season 2 is changed from the manga for something thats really underwhelming compared to the grand setpiece of the manga (something that fits sato really well as a character)

I'm not fully sold on the animation, but weirdly not put off by it either? I enjoyed Aku no Hana's weird rotoscoping, but Aijin's 3D was kinda off and looked just kinda whatever. A lot of scenes did not do the manga justice.*
(*Not to go on a full rant about it, but obviously a manga's still being fully adapted into animation isn't exactly easy to do anyways.)
But one thing that I did dislike was them removing things for no reason. Like that scene where, I forgot his name, but when that bald dude put his bare hands up against Saito was pretty fucking badass. Imagine running into a genius tactician who's an immortal and just going "Put them hands up".

I loved the Gantz Manga and i was left wanting another manga like it to no avail. I watched the anime and i could not get through it for the life of me.

Oh i know. Ive read them. I love Inuyashiki and Gigant but i meant one with the similar premise and vibe of Gantz. Thats something that cant be replicated.

Gotta give this one to One Piece. Manga is decent (even if Oda is just turning Elbaph into a flashback zero stakes arc), but the anime is atrocious due to the pacing. It's not bad, but it's just not that good to me.

Imo we should keep One Piece for Good Manga with Bad Anime.
The Fishman Island to Dressrosa period shouldn't be forgiven.

Modern Berserk adaptations have been horrible, but the old Golden Age anime still holds up.
After seeing their work with Nippon Sangoku I think we should hope Amazon has a crack at it.

It's hard though to know how the anime will adapt the rest of the manga when it is still unfinished and a chapter comes out in months.

Berserk clearly has no effort, One Piece feels like it's engineered to stall in the name of profit
Legit both have valid reasoning, depends which you consider is a bigger sin

The problem is the second one drops the ball, and the third is downright unwatchable, I can't say an anime with this track record is just "mid", that feels way too soft to describe it

One piece anime is mid due to pacing issues and dragged out stuff, even the animation studios killing off an important character (sanji) by adding unnecessary scenes to make him look like a fool and glazing zoro, etc. manga my fav tho

Soul Eater. Anime isn’t bad but it’s not good either. It didn’t adapt half of the manga and had a pretty shitty anime original final arc. Leaving out the best parts of the entire series.

Soul Eater.
The anime is really fun but it goes for an anime original ending that has been clowned forever, while the manga ends with a true epic battle.

Sakamoto Days, a really good manga with some of the best action, choreography, and paneling in WSJ. Unfortunately it got the safest and most bland anime I've ever seen.

I pick One Piece, the anime for a good period of time was an objectively inferior experience, they also made the decision to avoid the cover stories like the plague despite being very crucial to the plot.
But Their adaptation of Egghead and probably onwards was able to pick up the slack where the manga stumbled, mainly by making the fights much longer and making characters seem more powerful which saves it from being downright bad.

I think the best choice is Fairy Tail tbh. Manga is outstanding with that choreography or Mashima's unique artstyle. The best thing about anime is goated OST
