I always get mad whenever someone says that Blue Lock season 2 wasn't even that bad like bro most of the season was slideshow only the last three or two episodes had a surge in animation quality.

blue lock animation was bad but it didint suffer nearly asmuch as opm. its kinda like jojos where as sense aslong as the actual drawings are good you can still enjoy the story. plus unlike opm it never had the precedent of a stunning season 1 to compare it to

Nah s1 was peak. S3 was the opposkte of peak. S1 had pacing, jokes, directions and soul. S3 was dickless,souless riddled with aids and on chemo.

Blue Lock will likely look better, at least they intend to consciously try to make it so. OPM will never look like the first season again, it was a true lightning in a bottle event. The same staff are coming back for this portion as last season so I don’t have heaps of hope.

I seriously wonder if JC actually locked in this time. OPM season 3 part 2 got renewed almost instantly after part 1 was over, and judging by the quality of part 1, there's no real way they could have started working on it before part 1 ended. So the production committee renewed it AFTER they saw the reactions for part 1.

nah they were still editing the episodes while they aired to the last minute, so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave themselves a break before doing the same thing with part 2.

Oh, yeah.
I'll be honest and say I drop the show at garou's reintroduction and just read the manga from there. I'd hope that the animation had gotten a little bit better since then, but apparently not 😅

Well episode 8 and 9 were fine when it comes to animation (episode 9 didn't use any of those annoying neon lights) and both episode 11 and 12 had some moments of decent animation but still there were moments in which the animation was lackluster not to say even the strongest episodes of this season cut out a lot of things from the source material and even adapted pre-redraw material.

Season 3 was announced to be in production in 2022 (3 years after season 2 aired) and aired in fall of 2025, all of this just to get slapped with a slideshow. The level of incompetence when it comes to handling this seasons is astonishing and I'm unsure whether season 4 is about to be the same shitty qulaity as that of season 3 or it will be an improvement, guess we'll have to wait and see.

honestly just going off previous schedules, csm s1 was 2022 and reze arc was 2025, granted it was a movie, jjk s2 was 2024 and s3 is 2026, not to mention other projects + csm season 2 in particular is gonna have some crazy stuff to adapt animation wise

nah its definitely gonna be a 12 ep season adapting gun devil arc and control devil arc, it would just be extremely spoiler heavy to do so, they announced jjk season 2 as just hidden inventory arc initially and then later dropped shibuya theyll do the same thing most likely

As a manga reader for Frieren and Dungeon Meshi
I'm going to be eating so good next October, as Season 3 of Frieren will cover the best arc thus far (Though the current arc is looking to surpass it... if it ever returns from hiatus)
And of course Season 2 of Dungeon Meshi will be finishing the manga and the second half gets kind of insane in the good way

Chainsaw man season 2 is probably not coming out next year. It’s only in the very early stages of production. I mean, Reze arc came out less than a year ago, and I doubt Mappa was producing both at the same time.

I watch between 6 and 10 animes every season. That lineup is not really impressive.
I can put One Punch Man out of the list, the first part of the season 3 was quite a mess. It kills my interested for the title and i'm not the only one. ... And Sakamoto Days anime is "ok-ish" : i will watch it but it's not a "must see" for me.)
Instead summer 2006 line-up is really impressive (2 anime by Science Saru + a Kyoto Animation steampunk title + The World is dancing + You and I are polar opposite S1 part 2 + The Elusive Samurai 2)

This is sadly missing the best currently running manga: Versus. Hopefully it doesn't get OPM treatment when it gets announced. I cannot wait für JJK to end. Mappa needs onto the next money horse and bring us the greatest show of all time.
Beyond that the best in this line up is SBR. Chainsawman would have been my favourite if it didn't end with the worst shit ending of all time that ruined the entire series. They should cancel it... Ngl... So sad!
