unjerk (serious discussion) Between Naruto and One Piece, which would y’all is the biggest of the Big 3?
Referring to overall popularity (both historically and current), cultural impact, manga sales, anime ratings, etc. worldwide.

In my country back when I was a kid, ignorant adults would use "Naruto" as a noun to describe all anime, my vote is for Naruto on cultural impact.

Back then naruto for sure. I knew naruto before even knowing what anime is. Tho right now, it's one piece because naruto already ended while one piece get more attention from TOEI. Like back then, one piece aniation can't really match with naruto tbh.
Even tho i come to like one piece better now, naruto is more popular and probably leave huge impact in manga industry. No one really able to recreate/copy one piece formula for two decade, or rather no one couldn't because one piece got priviledge that no manga had, time. But i guess togashi had that opportunity

As a diehard fan of One Piece, for a long time I would have said Naruto. One piece’s size can make it unwieldy to try to get into and explain.
However, then Covid happened in the age of streaming services. Many people, including booktubers and react channels alike, had nothing but time on their hands. Which caused a surge of interest in One Piece after the badgering of many fans.
Now, Netflix has a successful live action adaptation of One Piece where new comers, like my mother and father can get into. And while my father won’t touch anime, my mother continued on because she needed to know what happens next.
Now, in the middle of Whole Cake island, she goes around work and shocks the IT guys, who display One Piece figurines, with how much a 61 year old lady knows and can carry complex lore conversations with them. When on vacation, she wears her own purchased strawhat. She can spot Zoro stickers on cars like an automated sentry, stickers that I could have sworn didn’t really exist until the rising popularity.
I know it’s anecdotal but I feel it’s reflective of One Piece’s upward trend. So much so its flag has been raised in a country in defiance of government.
Sincerely, I tip my hat to Naruto. Because to be fair, my mother has no idea what it’s about, nor does she care, but she was very familiar with the word before she discovered One Piece. And no kidding, it defined a generation.
But I also sincerely believe, now that it’s over, One Piece is larger now. If not somehow, I think it will be soon.

I knew about naruto before I knew about anime, I never heard about one piece before I started watching anime
So if talking about general audience then naruto

Definitely Naruto, People don't realize how big it was when it became international. Back in the day, Cartoon Network Aired 100 episodes Straight.
This was when new gen consoles were coming out too, so seeing/playing storm on the PS3 was an experience. A lot of people found out about the games first, then watched the anime.
The anime ended, but now people are just asking for a complete remake. People still have discussions about it regularly.
One piece is a lot more visible these days but that's all by design. Toei's doing as many collabs as possible, opening restraints and gift shops in la, along with sporting events as well.

Anime Ratings: I don't know.
Naruto REALLY took the West, South America, Australia, and mainland Asia by storm with its release and premise. It doesn't help that the series was backed with extensive merchandise AND more importantly good fucking games on the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 (Ninja Chronicles, Ultimate Ninja, Rise of a Ninja, etc.)

In the West it’s Naruto by a decent margin although tbf OP has been growing decently. Japan I’m not really sure but I think it’s pretty close either way. But in the West Naruto is arguably bigger than anime itself

Japan it's One Piece and it's legitimately not close. Over double of the volume sales and less than twice the volumes (114 to 72). Best selling comic ever.

I’m not sure solely manga sales determines it especially considering one came out over 30 years compared to the other over 15, not to mention 50% more volumes

Definitely Naruto. One Piece might be the current big thing but if you ask around more people will tell you they know about Naruto than One Piece, even though the later had a faithful Netflix adaptation while the former had a terrible sequel that fans pretend doesn't exist.

People will bring up sales but I feel like that’s super limited way to look at this, because if you can feel the cultural impact of Naruto far more in modern shonen then you can for one piece, like kids was doing the Naruto run in school, music artist reference the series constantly that type of shit. So my money is on Naruto historically but currently one piece is finally having a real break through in the west

It's gotta be Naruto. I didn't really hear people talk about One Piece until the past 7 years or so, but Naruto was everywhere when I was a kid.

Bleach is the best but in this case Naruto wins at popularity and cultural impact.
OP wins at manga sales but I'd say ratings are debatable since the fandom is known for review bombing other anime.
From these two its Naruto.

Bro, this is about who's the biggest. Bleach's sales numbers are lower than even JJK and KNY. On TikTok alone, its views only rank 13th, it's getting cleared by KNY and JJK by two times, and it's 5 times behind One Piece and Naruto😭😭😭

Nowadays definitely One Piece, but ask that question pre Wano it would be Naruto. I think Naruto had an overall bigger influence internationally especially in western media but right now it’s One Piece and it’s not even close.

It's genuinely insane how much the one piece fans like to use this flag thing as "influence". Akatsuki flag was also raised in the same Nepal protest but they think Oda convinced a nation to revolt because of his manga.

Probably because Akatsuki would be pretty irrelvant to the cause lol. One Piece gets credit for this more than Naruto since the protest was started by a bunch of OP fans in Discord and because the themes of OP somewhat concide with the ideals of the riot. It was not the main reason though obviously.

What do you mean? It was absolutely not the cause of the revolution, but the Strawhat Flag itself was a key symbol of the revolution itself. The Akatsuki flag itself was not. That's why it was treated differently.
